DMC 5 wasn't that long ago and neither was Crash 4 or the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. FF16 is in the works and we're getting a new Oddworld game. Resident Evil 8 came out earlier THIS year. Not to mention a potential remake of RE4. I agree that the change in GoW's mechanics are disappointing but you overreact about everything. Also the lack of locking on is a crackhead move. DMC and Bayo got them, don't see why GoW shouldn't either. And if it's really that bad, you could always look towards different games that have similar gameplay vibes, you don't need the AAA studios to offer up everything.

Hell, I also have my own gripes with Naughty Dog's change in direction. Cause I personally can't give much of a **** about Uncharted or The Last of Us. Castlevania and Metal Gear you'll have to take that up with Konami, but they barely make ANY games for ANY console, let alone the fact that CV is far more of a "Nintendo-y" series.



Yeah I hope Insomniac can handle it in a healthy manner. It seemed like they worked on Miles Gaiden and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart around the same time, so maybe two projects are their limit?

You do unless you want to play nothing but shallow hour long experiences or rogue likeswith none of the necessary budget for foot graphics or actual length and substance to their games without sacrificing something else.

So yeah, all we need now is some PHYSICAL + DIGITAL re-releases for the Marvel fighting games. I imagine the old 2D ones in particular, but new releases for UMVC3 and maybe even Infinite(though that's backwards compatible I believe, so there's less of an issue.)

So… overall rating of the PS direct?

Pretty solid, I got 3 games I give a **** about. Well, namely 2, but Project EVE seems kind of cool too. We don't know the exact style of Wolverine's game. I imagine it to be more linear, but I'm at least excited to see HOW they handled it.

Spider-Man 2, we can get a pretty good idea of how it'll work since the first game and the spin-off exist. Though how much has improved, we'll still have to see.

If it gets extra moves and characters like UMVC3 did, I'd be pretty happy. I'd be down to have Spider-Man/Storm team or Mega Man X/Storm.
