okay, so they've started releasing physical rewards on My Nintendo. This indicates they want to keep it around. Despite that, most of the My Nintendo rewards are discount codes for 3DS and Wii U games, systems that are, in Nintendo's eyes, dead. They're gonna want to have some sort of switch software for My Nintendo. Wouldn't Swirch ports of old games accomplish that really well! Wait a few months after 3D All Stars and FE1 disappear into the aether, so people get really desperate, and put them on My Nintendo for 500 gold coins or something. People rush to get them.

But wouldn't it be wise to have a game that nobody's had on Switch before, so people who bought 3DAS are in as big a rush as those who didn't? Enter Galaxy 2, a game that people have been begging to be put on the switch. People rush to get Galaxy 2.

Ay so I know it's been a lot of hours since this convo happened but I was asleep the whole time and I feel like I really gotta say my piece on this

I think the problem here is that this is being looked at from a very extreme perspective. As in, "people only dislike the roster because of the lack of X-men and nothing else". Maybe that is the case for all the competitive peeps who are here for MAG-****IN'-NETO and FOOT DIVEFOOTFOOTDIVE, but speaking from the perspective of a casual fan who moreso came for the fanservice, I'd say there's more to it. 'Cause I feel like, in actuality, Infinite's Marvel side suffers from the same fundamental problem as the earlier Mahvels, but in a different direction.

All these unexplored corners of the Marvel universe you mentioned? I would have loved to see them! I would have loved to see Daredevil! I would have loved to see Kamala! I would have loved to see Green Goblin and Blade and Moon Knight and any of the F4 and Nico Minoru and Luke Cage! Problem is...Infinite didn't do any of that either. Because once again, I think that it in truth suffers from the same problem you have with the earlier Em Vee Cees, but we're failing to realize it 'cause it's not with the same group of characters. Just like, say, MvC2 would have you believe the X-Men are all there is to Marvel, Infinite would have you believe the beeg MCU headliners are all there is to Marvel. So it's not so much that its Marvel side sucks just because of no X-men or Doom, its Marvel side sucks because Venom is literally the only character that wasn't either A. ported from UMvC3 or B. added because of the MCU. In all honesty, even within the MCU sphere they still kinda did a sucky job. I mean, they still could have used characters like Scarlet Witch, Star-Lord, Loki, or Vision, but they went with Gamora? That's kind of the overarching problem with MvCI's roster, even in the Capcom side: aside from a few cool beans like Jedah, X and Black Panther, it has no spice.

All things considered, I even agree with you that we shouldn't have too many X-men. Thing is, i doubt many disagree. I don't think a lot of people are really asking for Marrow and Spiral to come back. Hell, I'd be fine with, for example, Logan, Storm, Pool, Magneto, one of Gambit or Psylocke, mayyyyyyybe Cyclops or a newcomer if you really wanna stretch things, and dassit.

Really, I get some of your complaints, but I feel like Infinite also has these problems - just in a different way - and it's not fair to nail it down to "well you just don't like it because it doesn't have X character". IMO, on a lot of fronts, and both in terms of Marvel and Capcom, it's just not good.

That’s a fair argument. I think I’ll probably make another MvC5 roster later. I keep redoing it over and over because I can’t make descisions and keep making it ridiculously big.

Though, they could probably make the roster bigger if they did another sprite based game.

After some thought, I decided on wanting to get Bloodstained for Christmas. Its been piquing my interest for a while.

The only question is what do you guys suggest to get it on? PS4 or Switch?

There are plenty of other characters I would still like to see within the next Marvel Vs Capcom entry. If anything, I want Capcom to take as much development time as they could to ensure they do not repeat the mistakes made by Infinite.

Steam if possible.

Otherwise, I'd suggest PS4 since it has less performance problems than Switch and has nicer visuals.

I had a dream the other night that the next Smash fighter was revealed to be some ridiculously obsure visual novel character that not even I knew of, yet I still liked their inclusion.

Realised when I woke up that the reason this character was so obscure was because they (and the game they come from) don't exist in real life and were just a figment of my subconscious.

It’s not rumored it’s confirmed. We are getting 33 free units in addition to our choice of a five star 3 times.

But technically the 3rd pull is only if you’ve been grabbing the five star scout tickets already, as we will be at 30 when this event goes live.

in addition we get 60 free tickets with Gloria. Which means everyone can get an easy 3/5 Serena which is insane as she is one of the best units in the game.

Got my first Serena the other day with the select scout. :D

Technically using the "rumored" term as it could change and is a major spoiler. Though I thought the 5* Scout Tickets were random like a regular pull, not by choice like a paid Select Scout? No one's been able to use this feature because they haven't given 30 total tickets yet. lol
