Ah missed the Pokegirl talk?

Cynthia was the coolest. Would have loved her to be given more in-depth backstory. Not to mention her battle theme.

Pokemon has so many cool character designs, wished some of them were given more story.

Regarding Pokegirls.

When I first seen Cynthia, I actually thought she was a villain. The appearance really gives it off, probably blame her black attire. Lol.

Pretty sure this is the entire reason the Henry Stickmen collection was made lol

People have been asking for other devs(like the riddle school guy) to do the same thing but as far as I'm aware Henry Stickmen is the only flash era game to have gotten the remake treatment, rather than just archiving it.

When Smash Ultimate launched (I think - I can't remember when dataminers found these details in Joker's code), people found that there was data for the physics of a ponytail in Joker's files. (it was something like jane_ponytail, but it was listed as being part of Joker's skins/alternate costumes, rather than being a model for a different character like Ann)

The new character for Persona 5 Royal hadn't been named at the time (her name was eventually revealed to be Kasumi), so it got people speculating that she was going to be an alternate costume for Joker. To this day, it's never been clear who Jane was supposed to be, or if Joker was originally planned to have a female alt only for it to be cut.

I was honestly wondering when they would pull the plug considering now that Mario Maker 2 exists there basically no reason to play the original. Let alone it was the only game holding the Wii U somewhat afloat after the Switch launched.

Well that was an amazing game. Very fun times.

I feel like Mario Maker 2 will suffer the same fate, but it will probably be in years until now.

That's a shame. I didn't play Mario Maker as much as I thought I would (I made a few levels, but not as many as I expected), though I suppose that it had to go down at some point, being an online-heavy game and all. I wonder how the single player content (playing through various levels) is going to work going forward, or if the game is going to be completely unplayable as a result of this. (I believe some non-amiibo costumes were tied to completing those modes)

Still, it reminds me that I should double check the Wii U eShop to see if there's anything that I might want to get - I think I already did that a year or two ago (shortly after the Wii Shop Channel closed - I figured that Nintendo wouldn't give anywhere near the amount of advance notice for the Wii U, given its relative unpopularity), but it couldn't hurt to check and see if I missed anything.

Actually, Cool Math Games has been converting a bunch of their flash games to HTML5. So most of the site will still be playable post shutdown.
And stuff like Nazo Unleashed and Super Mario Bros. Z will be on YouTube for now and forever.

What's next - all of the Mario & Sonic Olympic Games get removed from digital storefronts on March 31st, 2021, because Sega's license to use the official Olympics license runs out then?
