You probably wouldn't be the only one because I've seen some reviews where folks weren't impressed with it either. For the most part though I feel it earns a spot up there as one of the better video game movies.

My opinion of it is it's decent for what it is.

Also still pissed off and for a smaller reason that the actual voice of Pikachu didn't get credited in the main sequence. Was another reason why I was a little bit disappointed.

If anything the only reasons why I still remember it was how visually great it was...............and watching it back to back with John Wick 3 at the cinema.

You know what would be cool? Smashboards movie night. A bunch of us in a discord call watching a movie at the same time. That would be great fun. And we can watch Rampage!

I don't know about that idea.

I honestly in that situation would rather just do our own thing. Not to mention timezones. Could be possible, just depends on who would actually want to make the effort and care to put time aside.

I found It to be ok. A really good looking movie, although maybe the plot played It too safe.

The Sonic movie was incredible doh.

Despite it being a rip-off of Howard the Duck in terms of plot. Hell the titles are the characters names and what animals they are.

You can't tell me this was a coincidence. I'm fairly convinced they literally stole its plot.

Name the Animal is a ridiculously common naming scheme, there's no reason why Sonic should take it from another movie when his game is literally called Sonic the Hedgehog.

Also, The Seven Basic Plots exist.

Really hoping for a sequel taking the World Tour approach where it turns out the 3 capsules weren't the only ones on the space shuttle and had spread t parts across the world.

You could have Boris the Rhino in Africa, Kingston the Cobra in India, Rojo the Bull in Spain, hell the ocean with Marco the Shark or Ruby the Lobster for that matter. Either that or new original monsters.

What would make it cooler is bringing Lizzie and Ralph back where it turns out because of their regeneration, they were only briefly dead. I could imagine a scene where as officials are about to collect Ralph's headless body, it suddenly springs up and clumsily runs around like a headless chicken, slowly overtime he head grows back eventually. Both him and Lizzie are eventually given cures for their aggression and Davis leads them and George against said mutated animals across the world.

To be fair to the movie, Ralph and Lizzie were also both wild animals and predators. Two things George was not. So I get that approach. But I like everything else about this proposal.

Hmmm that's true. Regardless being they along with George are the faces of Rampage, it'd only be logical to bring them back even if not being lead by David alongside George and just having to be dealt with again like in the previous movie.

Still would pay to see a fight between Lizzie and Marco in the ocean. If not Lizzie then at least Crock taking her place.

Not to mention it could be underwater.

I mean yeah, Marco is a shark, where else would it take place except in the ocean?

I picture it taking place underwater but also times with them breaching the surface as well in their fight.

Ngl, the idea of watching the Sonic movie with osby and Wademan94 sounds like the best thing ever.

Wade would be paying really close attention to the movie to tell us every single reference while Osby and I would be jamming to the music and losing It with the jokes.

I myself thought the film was a fun timewaster at best. But what I do love about it is how it has a 90s feel to it because it did feel like a movie that was made in the 1990s.

That said, I'll definitely see the sequel in April. I feel if they make this into a movie franchise, the closer its going to become more like the games for sure. I just feel it for some reason given how simple the plot of the first movie was.

Forgot to add this point as well. A lot of us are pretty shy. I've gotten over it cause I've had to talk to people over Zoom who I never met before and it's not like they'd jump out and kill me. I've known you guys long enough to be up for it. Then again feels like I'm a bit cursed to never do it with friends. Not saying that it's anyone's fault and applies IRL.

Granted my issue is my accent. I'd worry if no one could understand it.

Edit: Some like anyone from Ireland or Scotland could easily. I just have to be a bit slower and louder to almost everyone else.

I loved Sonic movie but it really wasn't anything special if you're not a fan of the franchise. Still decent at the very worst but I liked The Old Guard better if we're talking about 2020 "superhero" movies.

My full thoughts in the Sonic movie is that it was kinda generic imo, but that's fine, they just wanna establish stuff (mainly the world, Sonic and Eggman) before they go all out with the Sonic stuff (Like Tails, Knuckles, and the Iconic Eggman design).


Jim Carrey carried the movie though. Definitely one of his best performances.

Is Diddy Kong Racing DS a good version of that game?

Having played both the N64 and DS versions of Diddy Kong Racing, I do feel that the DS version is not quite as good as the N64 version. The DS version does not have the coin race challenge or the battles.

You know what I want from the next DKC game? I want more of the old characters to come back. Funky has been upgraded to playable status, so have Candy run the shop. Bring back Wrinkly to give us hints on levels. Bring back Swanky for minigames to rack up more lives. Bring back more of the old animal buddies! Bring back Kiddy Kong in some form! Bring back the three 64 Kongs! And of course, bring back the Kremlings. That goes without saying.

There was that one Resident Evil animated show on Netflix, then I think Netflix announced both another show and a movie in live action and now Sony is making a movie for theaters?

There's the crap animated show which is really just an animated film cut into 4 episodes, there's very little about it that I enjoyed.
