Fair. I can't argue with that tbh.

And like all species, we'll eventually go extinct and society will inevitably collapse like previous ones (Still predicting a virus) but despite the damage to the earth and having suffered various mass extinctions (Permian-Triassic having wiped out 90% of life), life will still manage to flourish and whatever animals left will evolve to take those animals place.

Honestly I can see rodents millions of years from now evolving to fill in the niche of many animals herbivores and carnivores.

That's the beauty of it.

I envy the people and the stuff they will hear, see and taste a thousand years from now.

Not to mention other planets, universes and all that but I don't want to go that deep.

You could also try the Super Mario Bros. Movie. It depicts what would happen if the meteorite never killed the dinosaurs but instead transported them into a separate dimension.
