Until you realize 99% have zero experience making something commercial quality or know how to actually balance things. :yeahboi:

Like, don't get me wrong, I adore fan games and mods.

I just think disgruntled fans prop them up on too high a pedestal and their moods about 'em would change real quick if they weren't free entertainment, lol.

BTW, see you guys in 5 years when PM-clone games become the new "indie RPG inspired by Earthbound".

Bug Fables doesn't know what it started. After the Origami King meltdown, hoo boy did the indie devs notice a new market.
It was a bloody miracle that Origami King was good because otherwise we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Granted, most of these paper-inspired indie games look good.

But it concerns me a bit that there are so many of them sprouting up that I think they made their own Direct for them.

This is how you run a good thing into the ground.
