Hokuto No Ken was interesting to watch many years ago. I guess for Science Fiction martial arts, this would be number 1 for it's time to me. Other than that, other animes that either followed or were somewhat inspired in it's success are definitely in reverence, especially with the father of fighting games, and primarily the one who popularized martial arts to begin with.

Let's ignore the fact that it didn't come out for Terry, Byleth, Min Min, nor Steve, and the fact that they made the costumes long before they made Sephiroth (when good game design means doing the easy stuff like Mii Costumes last), as well as the fact that a pandemic hit which most likely delayed development and releases further, nobody claimed it, so real.

People be like "I wish Pokemon were real", well look at deep sea creatures. They pratically have abilities of Pokemon, with some being able to make light, generate electricity, etc. A lot of aninals are the real world equivalent of poison types, being able to make acid and venom that can kill. Bombardier beetles can make acid so hot that it can scorch you and kill small animals on contact. Some animals are equivalent to ground types, using mud, dirt, and sand to their own advantage to set up traps and make super small quakes to scare other animals for hunting. Look up the type of bug Trapinch is based on. There'a a bug out there that's like Crustle, only instead of dirt and rocks, they make thier bio shell out of dead corpses of other animals.

One thing they have in common? They're super ****ing terrifying. Nature is wild when you get into it.

And that’s excluding whatever the the hell lurks in the deepest part of the ocean.

Imo. He’s up there in terms of new companies to give reps to. I’m still thinking Rhythm heaven has a relatively high shot at making the last slot of bonus slot if we get one. Then maybe Master chief is another option.

There’s still endless possibilities but Ryu has a strong fan demand and KT have gotten pretty close to Nintendo so I wouldn’t be surprised if they got a rep.

Master Chief. Vergeben has never called a character that hasn't come to be eventually.
I actually have my own tinfoil hat theory that Master Chief will be the secret FP12 that was supposedly found in the Australian Smash website. Halo Infinite releases this year and will likely be nominated for Game of the Year, making it a perfect surprise last reveal at The Game Awards 2021.
Keep in mind that when Joker and Sephiroth were revealed, their games were nominated for Game of the Year, so Master Chief could follow that pattern.

I know it ain't going to happen but I do hope Harada does at least give a video message about Kazuya in Smash during the Sakurai Presents thing.

A part of me still cannot get my head around a Tekken character. It just can't fully click with me. Maybe cause I've spent far more time with that series than with King of Fighters and Street Fighter, though it dwarfs in playtime to Mortal Kombat and Smash.

Just makes me think of that feeling about FP2 in which half the characters would have been "fit smoothly" more in the base game roster.
