I'm pretty bored right now, so here's a small question to incite some discussion:

What's your favorite game?


For me, it's personally a toss up between Breath of the Wild and GMOD. One is an amazing open-world experience filled to the brim with character and charm, and the other is the place I go whenever I want to **** around, which is most of the time.

Pokémon Black and White. Got me into this crazy franchise, and I have huge nostalgia for it.

Other than that, Mario Odyssey is a triumph. And even though it’s been memed to death I greatly appreciate Undertale.

I always wonder why kids' games seemed to be the only kind of PC games guaranteed to get Mac ports. Were schools buying Macs en masse during the 90s? Because I do remember playing on a Mac at my first grade school (mostly with the screensavers and not games lol) and still seeing plenty of iMacs at schools I went to after that.

My degree in college was "Media Design and Production". We used PC's. But the printing class, which was down the hall, used Mac's for some reason. Ironically, while my degree is mostly useless the printing class is worth even less than that

Wanted to get back into writing my Sonic fighting game story mode but I need help with something.

This is off-topic, but I love the season 4 Eren avatar.

Glad you noticed! Eren Yeager is one of my favorite protagonists, and seeing his moments from the time-skip animated was something I was really looking forward to for a while, so I had to take a nice still of him from Season 4 to make it my avatar!

This box art honestly doesn’t feel final to me even if it’s not terrible. It’s mainly the background that is kind of odd contrasted to the colors of the legends.

Also the glowing still makes me think new forms are happening.

I think the background of the BDSP box arts is meant to be a homage to the original Diamond/Pearl box art. The box arts for those games had that black, cloudy effect behind Dialga and Palkia with a single colored beam to reflect their respective colors. Looks like they are trying to imitate the original box arts in that light.

Definitely a tacky answer for a site like this, but I gotta say Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Pretty much encapsulates everything I love about Nintendo and video games in general.

Yeah, it’ll be a miracle if nothing else if the next game tops Ultimate, which people are gonna obsess over now that the Hype Train is at the end of the line.

I going to see if I could start a local tournament scene for Virtua Fighter by talking to those who do administrative work from running these kinds of events. This is a bit out of character for me to consider, but hopefully people aren't unpleasant like they were in the past, considering I've been out of the tournament scene for about 16 to 17 years ago.

I will note, pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee released on November 16th 2018. If we assume that Gamefreak is still rotating between two teams, we can also assume that they started development of Pokemon Legends around then.

That would mean that Pokemon Legends will have about a 3-year development cycle. That's pretty standard. Although I guess part of what's so worrying is that Gamefreak has never done something so ambitious before, and sometimes more ambitious games need a little bit more time in the cooker.

As for the frame rate in the trailer, yeah that looks pretty bad. To be fair Breath of the Wild has bad frame rate in some instances to, although not as bad as what Pokemon Legends seems to show. I hope they do more to optimize it. Although I'm personally willing to put up with some poor framerate in an RPG if the rest of the game is good.

I have a quartet of favourite games of all time:

Very hard to say which is mine but it'd probably be Xenoblade Chronicles like my good friend and fellow Xenofan Lamperouge .

The game blew me away and I still get chills. The others are very, very, very close in different ways but Xenoblade's world is why it ekes out at number 1.

Have you watched Made in Abyss?

That artwork is literally my PC wallpaper right now.

Some of the most twisted and beautiful lore, I adore Riko and Reg, one of my favourite openings and great much. Also has one of my favourite towns in fiction to the point where I made a location in my story after it.

It's pretty good but it is really ****ed in the head and I did very sick after a few scenes.. I wouldn't have minded them dying it down a bit. On the bright side this and Madoka Magica are the perfect traps for people who want to watch anime.

On one hand I think it's good that more LGBT+ to be making it's way into children's shows.

But on the other hand, it seems like they made this decision based on outdated stereotypes. "Oh this woman is large, loud and likes wrestling? She must be lesbian!" Making a character lesbian character who has masculine traits is one thing, but making a character lesbian because of her masculine traits just rubs me the wrong way.

But eh, I was never too interested in this reboot to begin with so .
