If Byleth had been dropped in say, early on or the middle of the pass, sure people would complain about "MORE FIRE EMBLEM REEEE", but it would have still been dampened because "Oh, we still have X amount left". Dropping them at the last spot was a double whammy of bad idea, IMO at least.

Min Min would have been much, much more warmly received had we not been told "This is what you're getting, have fun debating a topic that'll be over in a week's time for 3 months."


And Pyra/Mythra went over fine.


As for Chief, after Covid ****ed everything up, Nintendo re-did schedules with COVID in mind, I think that's pretty obvious, they had to, and this pass was always going to have at least 2 E3 character drops due to it extending through 2 years. I don't see why it's crazy to think that E3 could be a somewhat 'big' character. There's keeping your expectations in check, and then there's "No, E3 is gonna be super low key and Nintendo didn't plan for it at all so we get Goomba revealed."

I think it's reasonable to expect one last major hype bomb of a character given that E3 is usually when we get one.

I would LOVE to see him take the helm on something else the way he did Kid Icarus. He doesn't want to do another Kid Icarus so we can give that to someone else. I'd love it if he did an F-Zero, a new Famicom Detective Club, a new Mach Rider, a new Mysterious Murasame Castle,.... or even a new Eternal Darkness.

I'm not trying to say something like "nope it has to be goomba", but rather that the "big" character is going to have to be something that'd be "big" for base game after Steve and Sephiroth were enough to sell the pass for the majority who doesn't care about "Smash Bubble" picks.

What do you want then for a pfp **** ****? A built as all hell guy with bowling balls for muscle? A full on MAN thing? Not saying you guys but I remember the criticisms from my siblings for having anime girls for pfps.

well the lack of interest part being false aside, he's already stated many times that porting thr game from 3DS to Switch would be difficult (said this most recently during Uprising's anniversary via Smash picture)

More difficult than porting a Wii U game but certainly within the realm of the doable. We've gotten 3DS ports before.

And the porting/remake dev doesn't have to be, and often isn't, the same dev that actually made the game. In fact, that's often the kind of thing Nintendo has outsourced. Let alone other companies.

It obviously can be done, it just probably won't be, because Uprising wasn't a blockbuster success. It did well enough, but not so well that Nintendo feels obliged to return to it. Because if Nintendo wanted it on Switch, it'd be on Switch. Someone would get it done.

Let's see if any of the MCU films (Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Eternals, and Spider-Man: Far From Home) potentially surpasses F9 when Black Widow opens in July.

Other potential candidates being Venom: Let There Be Carnage, No Time To Die. Maybe The Suicide Squad, Encanto, and Matrix 4 as well? Only other ones I could see hitting top spot or top 3 this year.

Could see Space Jam: Legacy making money around $500-$600+ million thanks to potentially nostalgia.

Cruella I don't think is really gonna make much making around similar numbers to 2019's Dumbo.
