This is definitely the earliest I’ve ever been sent on my lunch break for. I’ll actually get to eat something right around lunch time lol.

So, how’s everyone doing?

Hard disagree, there are plenty of games that get it right and plenty of people who play well.

Nintendo ain't the standard for this if you're referring to what we have to deal with in Ultimate.
It's a 50/100 with Splatoon.

50% chance of your team being competent, and a 100% chance of the other team being competent.

I have always wondered why people say Pepe is problematic but not Johnny Bravo.... hmm...
Well he was always put in his place and none of the girls he hit on took any **** from him. And he had the decency to back off afterwards, not constantly pursuing the girls thinking they’re playing hard to get.

Aand then there's the situation where the opposing team's names all have Japanese characters in it, in which case, you accept your fate and embrace the end.

And then there's a possibilty of balance ****ing up by putting 3 aerosprays against snipers and splatlings.

And then there's the dudes who haven't gotten over Splatoon 1's meta.

I like Dragon Ball Heroes episodes more than Dragon Ball Super's. I've always had a thing for Dragon Ball GT and Super Saiyan 4 Limited Breaker. It will be nice seeing the return of Cell, as I believe him vs Goku, when he was alive was the most focused anime fight in the series.

Hmm, I got all the old items to advance...

But I want to get to the new stuff, and I worry advancing the story might make it a point of no return.

Hmmm, what to do, what to do....

EDIT: WELP, NEVERMIND.

Can't wait to see the meltdown over Cinderace.
Unfortunately I don't think we will get that much of a meltdown if Cinderace get's in, So Many people are already expecting them that it would pretty much be exclusively long ass think pieces about Gen 8 at most, It would mostly be just people saying Gen 8 bad and moving on not the mountains of salt that Byleth produced.

Nah, we'll definitely see salt.

A lot of people knew a Three Houses rep was pretty much inevitable and accepted it, and XC2 wasn't considered extremely unlikely either, yet both faced their fair share of vitriol after we actually got characters from them. It'd be even worse for Cinderace now that we're approaching the end of Ultimate DLC.

Would it be Cinderace? Or are we just getting our hopes up?

Because, assuming he does the same thing as he did with Incineroar as in waiting until a decision, it could very well be Dragapult given that he's the most popular Gen 8 mon iirc.
I'm just assuming that we'd get another starter Mon and Cinderace seems to be the most well liked among the group, so...yeah.

I'm probably in the boat of I don't really care as much who get's in, as long as it's a new universe.

1. Being a Western rep - Crash would be perfect. Maybe someone from Bethesda or Ubisoft....

2. Namco/Sega/mid sized studio rep - one of those two plus something like Arc System Works or Falcom would be nice.

Then a bonus fighter (Balloon Fighter, Famicom Detective Club etc.) or a bonus stage (Melee Final Destination, Brawl Battlefield etc.) and something like a series medley theme in there and then lastly a nice redone "Everyone is Here!" Trailer to top it all off.

We done and we look towards the future................

Cinderace seems to be the most popular of the three starters, and overall is a super popular Galar 'Mon period.

Plus, he's a hugely focused on character in the anime, which is probably 99% why Incineroar got in in the end so that helps.

Yeah I don't know what I was thinking, You are totally right, Even though people are expecting pokemon they will still get unnecessarily heated.

Well... he backs off once they punch him. He doesn’t do well with words.

And I think lots of people miss the idea that Pepe is supposed to be an antagonist. So the successful update doesn’t much come from changing him but changing the way the women he chases react to him....

Part of the problem is that the Pepe shorts are, like many of the golden age ones, an example of the two character conflict formula. Designed to take two characters that play well of each other in a hero/antagonist relationship and throw them into a new setting each time (see Bugs Bunny and his various misadventures). And honestly Pepe was never the best example of this considering his foil never even speaks. The problem is that him “backing down” basically causes him to not only lack a recurring co-Star, but necessitates several different ones per short.

Again, I think the humor in a revamped Pepe should come, not from how he torments Penelope, but how she fights back and gives him his comeuppance. But is that still problematic if she’s a recurring character? And for the record, looney tunes shorts have no continuity. Each one is an entirely stand alone continuity because the only real cannon is that the tunes are all actors in various productions. So each time the setting and costumes are changed they’re essentially brand new characters with the same personalities (like how the old 30s character actors used to work). So like... how meta do we wanna get with this? At what level does it stop being problematic and becomes about laughing at this smelly French neckbeard who thinks he’s gods gift to women? I don’t know. What do you think?

Snake has a fair point actually.

So Pepe is cancel cultured away but apparently folks don't seem to have no problem with Johnny Brave given like Pepe he does the same thing such as grabbing and touching woman going all "Hey baby!".

Hmmmm! I think its only fair Johnny Brave should be cancel cultured away as well if we do the same with Pepe.

So what if he's put in his place? Fact remains Johnny Bravo does the same thing as Pepe has sexually harrasing and touching them against their will and there has been actually times Pepe had been put in his place.

If Pepe le Pew gets cancel cultured, then it's only fair they do the same with Johnny Bravo.

Actually that scene was cut for time. Not cancel culture. Scenes get cut from movies all the time. They just used it to get social brownie points. He actually appeared quite frequently in the last two looney tunes reboots.

And even if you’re gonna take away his traditional formula, the only thing that would be required of him is that he’s a French skunk who’s full of himself. Chuck Jones actually thought about translating that into the setting of the workplace and him trying to find a job but never succeeding but also never changing because he was so full of himself and I think that would work.
