There’s a difference between “I do not enjoy Teen Titans Go, I think it’s lame and I will not watch it” and “It’s been eight years and I’m STILL LIVID.” that a lotta people just don’t grasp. But legit, the animation community are such losers. One mediocre/bad reboot/season, and they suddenly become crybaby nihilists because "muh childhood".
Like... just watch the original, it's not going anywhere. Not saying you can't criticize, but at some point I think enough is enough.
Exactly, people are still raging over the PPG reboot or Season 6 of Spongebob or something, and I'm like... it's been years, get over it. Please get a job or a hobby or SOMETHING, this isn't healthy. There’s a difference between “I do not enjoy Teen Titans Go, I think it’s lame and I will not watch it” and “It’s been eight years and I’m STILL LIVID.” that a lotta people just don’t grasp.
IDK. It's kind of understandable when you care about something like that. I always listen to WHAT'S being criticized to determine if their critiques are of any merit. If it's designs not being the same (not bad, just different), characters being "ruined", or an art style being different, then no heed is paid. Because those are just things that happen when you do a reboot of a show. If it was gonna be exactly the same as the original it would be a new season of the old one. But also, your childhood can't be ruined by something you love falling behind or stalling or becoming bad because your childhood is an immutable thing that happened in your past. It sucks when a titan falls, but it doesn't effect what happened in the past. So critique, but never *****.But legit, the animation community are such losers. ...I hope you realize were the same age and have the same weird idea of sharing good **** with young people...tho unlike you I’ll literally force even the oldest of people to enjoy the things I love because I don’t believe in freedom and all that ****...I believe in everybody having to be the exact same human creature muwhahahahahahahahahaahha and stuffI don't know who you are, but I'm 22 and legally considered an adult and I know for a fact I won't stop sharing this stuff with future generations. Like, when I said older people I didn't mean the elderly. I meant like... people in the 21-50 range.
damn all y’all getting to have adult shows on yo Disney+ while us bloody Americans can only use it on Hulu...I want American Dad on Disney+Hulu's MODOK appeared on Disney+ today, so I thought I give the first episode a watch. You can say its funny and weird at the same time. Other than that Patton Oswalt did a brilliant job voicing MODOK.
you could just say there’s a reboot or sequel and they’ll feel like their childhood was crucified or somethingBut legit, the animation community are such losers. One mediocre/bad reboot/season, and they suddenly become crybaby nihilists because "muh childhood".

As weird as it isWouldn't be so bad if the court case caused microtransactions to be banned in the USA. Although that would mean most free games that support them (like Fortnite) would move to an annual subscription model.
I just think it's a more honest way of making money then the micro-transaction system, even if regulated. As weird as it is
I'd rather have microtransactions heavily regulated than subscriptions.
I don't like the thought of "If you don't pay a yearly fee, you can't play the game!!!". I hate it with the NSO and I hated it in WoW.
I mean, and then you don't pay the fee, and all that time and energy you invested in the game is locked behind a paywall that literally forces you to pay to continue.I just think it's a more honest way of making money then the micro-transaction system, even if regulated.
As a big mmo nerd, that’s definitely one of the big things that irks me when it comes to games like Wizard101 and Pirate101. Always feels like a case of sunk cost fallacy where I have to play as much as possible to “get my money’s worth.”As weird as it is

better then actively using manipulative advertising and gambling tactics to get children and easily manipulated people into giving you all of their money in exchange for a differently colored blob of pixels.I mean, and then you don't pay the fee, and all that time and energy you invested in the game is locked behind a paywall that literally forces you to pay to continue.
Pretty scummy.
But you can still play the game.better then actively using manipulative advertising and gambling tactics to get children and easily manipulated people into giving you all of their money in exchange for a differently colored blob of pixels.
I actually hate subscription services too. I'd prefer a one time payment and then I just have it forever. But to be real, the only way to regulate microtransactions is to essentially take away everything that makes them profitable. Take away the gambling mechanics and the manipulation and they don't get the huge influx of money from whales and children that is the whole reason it gets done in the first place. So with those aspects gone, there's no real business reason to keep doing them. Would I rather you just pay for it and then have it forever? Yes. Absolutely. But between the two, one is far less predatory. But you can still play the game.
I'm of course going to be biased as hell since I despise subscription services(And play a few mobile games, I admit), but I'd rather having more regulations than having to pay monthly/yearly fees. Monthly sub fees is what killed my enjoyment of World of Warcraft dead before arrival, and for the longest time, I flat out refused to buy a Switch due to the NSO, hell, I didn't even buy my Switch in the end, it was gifted.
Granblue forces players to input their age upon creating an account and puts a cap on how much they can spend monthly if they're under 18~21(Forgot which), like 50$ max.I actually hate subscription services too. You are going to New Jerseyi just got an ad for new jersey.
of all the states, it HAS to be ****ing new jersey
It'd be better to get the Steam version due to the rollback netcode update. It usually has at least a few hundred people playing at a time.Do anyone have Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R and if so, how is the activity, moreso with the Nintendo Switch? I'm thinking about making an valiant effort into regaining what I've lost, to evolve more in Blazblue Central Fiction, Blazblue Cross Tag.
OK. On one hand, you are right. Parents need to be parents. On the other hand, it kind of doesn't matter if their kid was being watched or not if you let a tiger loose in their playground.Granblue forces players to input their age upon creating an account and puts a cap on how much they can spend monthly if they're under 18, like 50$ max.
Is it a perfect system? No, kids can lie about their age, but I also think at that point the parents should take some responsibility in what their kids are playing. Once you set your age, you can't change it, so outside of creating an entirely new account, which not many people will do, it's locked in.
I mean, where are the kids getting the money?OK. On one hand, you are right. Parents need to be parents. On the other hand, it kind of doesn't matter if their kid was being watched or not if you let a tiger loose in their playground.
imagine if they took a Mario Run approach instead...for everythingAs weird as it is

Dude. You’re defending a system that causes kids to get bullied for having default skins. A monthly bill is just more ethical. Not to mention that kids aren’t the only ones who get hooked by gambling addictions.I mean, where are the kids getting the money?
They're stealing it from mom and dad's credit card, right? Or they're asking mom/dad?
I dunno about you, but growing up, my mom flat out told me "No" when I asked for stuff like, 70% of the time. She wasn't cruel about it, but she was incredibly firm.
And if they're stealing it, why are mom and dad leaving their credit card out where their kids can use it.
Don't get me wrong, I know it's an unpopular take, like, a really, really bad one.Dude. You’re defending a system that causes kids to get bullied for having default skins. A monthly bill is just more ethical. Not to mention that kids aren’t the only ones who get hooked by gambling addictions.
Mario Run is the most ethical way to do moble transactions IMO: one big purchase for the whole game, and that’s it.imagine if they took a Mario Run approach instead...for everything
That I 100% agree with.Gachas should not be allowed in kids games.
In my opinion.
Half the fun in card games is opening the lootboxes to see what fancy cardboard pictures you get.Honestly, when it comes down to it, micro transactions have got to go, even the OG one in the form of Magic booster packs. It’s a predatory practice that deliberately plays on the idea that you “might” get something good, when the chances of you actually getting something good are 0.000001%.
Course, that kinda destroys the main appeal of my hobby, but idrc when I mainly buy singles anyway. I don’t think it would be that hard to adapt to it anyway: just sell entire sets of cards instead of packs, like how Deckbuilders Toolkits used to be.
A lot of games just use the info already stored on the phone without any verification needed. It's extremely easy for kids to spend hundreds, if not throusands of dollars on microtransactions without their parents knowing until they look at their account. Sure, monitor the kids, but you can't do that 24/7 365, that is extremely unrealistic.I mean, where are the kids getting the money?
