The theory that the remaining character won’t have names that are different in other languages, because then they’d have to record different crowd cheers for each version. Because of COVID restrictions or something.

Doesn’t make much sense to me, seeing as how Pyra has different names in other languages. But y’know.

As mean as they might sound, Rayman is not an E3 worthy reveal imo.

He’s lost a lot of power and recongnition over time and I think there would be a lot of upset people tbh. As much as I want that Rabbids sequel, I would love to see Ubisoft get to collab with another project with Nintendo, rabbid Related or not.

Ehhhh I think Rayman could be an E3 level reveal. But it’d have to after a sort of Rayman revival. A new game, maybe some new merchandise. He’s out of the public consciousness atm.

this is very interesting:

Xbox Game Pass may indeed be coming to Switch. If it does and gets announced at E3, then I wouldn’t be surprised.

My Smash reveal at E3 bet is Crash, but if this game pass thing is really and these companies are really working together, I could easily see it be Master Chief.

Giving us 3 Microsoft Reps back to back E3s, and getting the big 3 from them.

It’s not based on COVID. The theory is that for the smaller budget they seemed to have this time around based on things that have been said, they choose to just not bring the foreign voice actors back and save money with characters they didn’t have to put extra voice work into.

And then compared this to a few years when I already had like 25 games bought. Maybe I'm losing interest.

A few years ago a smash fighter was never available as DLC. Plus there was plant which is a kind of similar thing.

Super lame that you have to weaken boss a Pokémon before you can throw any Poké Ball to catch it in Xenoverse (and attempting to throwing a Poké Ball beforehand will consume it).

Well yeah but that’s different. In both cases.

DLC just wasn’t a part of the smash series before Wii U/3DS because they chose not to. And Plant was a bonus for buying smash content.

I’m not saying Master Chief can’t happen or he can’t be a bonus character. But I don’t see why he’d be a bonus for content that isn’t Smash.

There's honestly only been like, 5 or 6 games I actually care about from these last two years to be honest.

I'm just more interested in my card games than I am in my gaming systems.

Eh, I’m pretty stoked for the new Pokémon games, Splatoon 3 and the possible new DK.

Like there still is stuff I'm looking forward to like BOTW2 and Splatoon 3 but it's at the point where they would feel more like "ticking off the box" than actually being excited.

Think the only two games I'm super excited for left that haven't been shown much are God of War Ragnarok and FFXVI.

In near future it is Tales of Arise and The World Ends With You sequel is so close to coming out. Cannot believe the latter got announced still.

I'll be excited for the future of games when I can have a realistic chance of getting a PS5 and scalpers getting scalped live on international television a few more exclusives get announced.

Can't see that happening IMO. Still believe something like a goodbye stage like Melee Final Destination or someone like Balloon Fighter would be nice to round out the DLC after instead of that.

This is basically akin to saying "just because it's never happened before doesn't mean it can't happen.", which is really not how to structure an argument.


As for Plant, that's a better point yes, but Plant was akin to an "Early adopter's" bonus like you see in other games.
