You ever sometimes wish you could just post an idea and for someone who actually had te power to make it to just say “we’ll look into it”?

Edit: and for it to actually be true.

Considering that is a massive deflection, I take it you do not get dark humor.
Also, when has it been deemed illegal to laugh at racists?
I’ve seen dark humor that’s actually really funny. And I mean real dark humor, stuff that could get you kicked out of certain establishments. The thing is, they’re actual jokes.

And 4Chan does have some of that, and they can be very funny. But a lotta the time it’s just yelling the N word over and over again, which isn’t a joke and isn’t very funny.

Depends on where you go. I dont see them yelling N word that often (but I am not on there most of the time anymore.) But I do know that when the election finally concluded, the salt was hilarious. And the **** posting was fast and furious and hilarious.

People be like "Ugh, this generation is too sensitive! They wouldn't last a minute in a MW2 lobby", as if people actively want to be called N-Word F-Slur by Garret the Suburban White Dude.

There’s definitely some oversensitive people out there. Particularly on Twitter. But what a lot of people call too sensitive is really just people not willing to put up with bullying anymore.

I think it is more then that. part of it is the constant slurs. but most of the time when I see people say that, it is for less offensive material. Was it Mel brooks? I think he said Blazing saddles would not be able to be made today. seems right. When we have articles that see everything as political, everything as racist, everything as problematic, it makes things more of a minefield.

How so? Last thing I read about bullying was that a japanese artist drew Knuckles white and people started harassing him.

But I dont get to much news.

Blazing Saddles can definitely be made today, when we have movies like Black KKKlansman, Django Unchained, amd way to damn many "Watch Black People Suffer" movies. In fact, movies like Blazing Saddles are encouraged given the current climate we live in.

Also, Blazing Saddles is definitely a political satire. To deem it apolitical is incorrect.

On the Knuckles bit, you got it wrong. It was one white woman who got pissy over Knuckles being white, and then everyone hounded her for being an annoying white savior (which she was), and her dumbass "fixed your art" **** got black artists harassed for something she did. They chased her off the platform in the end. Twitter was in the right in this instance.

I agree Blazing Saddles is political. (I tend to agree with the notion that everything is political because fiction is written by people and people are molded by society, which in turn is built by politics. E.g. a character that is poor in a book will speak about the climate in which the book was written.) But I do disagree that it could be made today. And if it was, not by Mel Brooks.

As for the Kunckles thing, thank you for filling in the story more. Glad to see she was berated.
