If you were going to have a video game with a customizable avatar, who's not the main character but is a significant part of it, and then follow up that video game with a show, what would be the best way to adapt that customizable avatar into said show without retconning them? Do any other game adaptations have similar issues?

It is strange how it's hard to sleep in a foreign bed (like a hotel or friend's house) that's DESIGNED for sleeping comfort, but it's all too easy to fall asleep on your desk in class.
I still have my old Spanish II notebook from High School, and there's a page where you can see in my writing the exact moment I dosed off. The words become incoherent scribbles and finally, the pencil falls while still leaving a mark on the paper.
