I'm not much of a horror fan (I've watched a few horror movies (mostly ones made before I was born), but I've only seen one horror movie in theaters), but I'd suggest something older (like Halloween (the 1978 one) or Alien (the 1979 Ridley Scott movie)) or something that blends horror and comedy (like Shaun of the Dead). Watching it in the afternoon, or in a well-lit room, probably helps.

New Dragon Ball Super movie confirmed for 2022

I just found out that Toei's been working on another Dragon Ball Super movie after the Broly one, and that it might get announced tomorrow. I have no idea how I missed this!

A message from Toriyama mentions "an unexpected character" showing up - not sure if this is going to be another situation where a previously-non-canon character gets made part of the canon (Cooler? Android 21?) or if this is something else. My guess would be Cooler; the Broly movie had Gogeta telling Freeza about fusion, and I figure that's going to have some kind of pay-off at some point. (a fusion between Freeza and Cooler?)

I’m currently on my 30-minute break over here at Holiday World, and honestly, it’s been easier than I thought.

I mean, there was one incident where someone puked on the ride I was operating on... that wasn’t really fun to deal with, having to call management and tell a full line of people that they had to leave. But that’s just par for the course I guess.

i'll check those out! i was actually planning to watch the halloween series, but ive heard that a lot of the later movies in the series are pretty bad and not worth watching. do you have any opinion on that?

I'm still going slow through MH, but I'm starting to make real progress. There's still some little things I'm trying to get out of the new mechanics so I'm not jumping into online just yet, but once I get that I'll start hopping in and messing around with everyone.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't done much with Pokken. DX sold over a million outside of Japan so it did well for a Pokemon spinoff, but outside of the two DLC character packs they've just sat on it and did nothing else. Considering there's still many Pokemon they could add and there's room to refine its gameplay it's so strange that it's been left in limbo for this long, but hopefully with both Mystery Dungeon and Snap coming back that just means it's waiting in the wings.

I just realized, I have a waaaaay better ecruitment option right now for the team I wanna build in this.

See, I wanna run Delcatty and Mawile, but my dumb 'ol self chose Chikorita as Skitty's partner in the beginning because...Well, honestly I like Chikorita and I didn't know Mawile was in the game, so I wasn't anticipating having two team mates with a weakness to fire, lol. My best bet for this team is to go grab Milotic: Pure Water typing, gets Light Screen, it'll work out pretty well.

Avalugg is ideal for the omega version of the stage.

I’d also suggest Wailord. A big ass balloon that takes up most of the screen as a goof.

So I finished Sonic Unleashed...

The game isn’t BAD. But there’s so MUCH DOWNTIME. The day levels? Awesome great, I would play a whole game of those. Which I have. Sorta. It’s called Colors. You can make it through daytime levels in less than 10 minutes usually and they’re infinitely satisfying and replayable. But the ****ing Werehog levels on average last 30-40 minutes. And they’re boring. Again, not bad, just boring. There’s some upgrades here and some light platforming that breaks up the obnoxiously button marshy combat but wow I hate these levels. It KINDA carries over into the hubs but the hubs are actually played as Sonic so I can pass them as being the obvious midpoint between Daytime and Nightime levels and it’s just OK.

As much as people prop up Unleashed as one of the best in the franchise I am woefully disappointed. I’ll replay the game... but only the daytime levels. Which apparently there’s a mod for Generations PC out there that recreates all the day levels for that game at 60FPS which is super nice.

But yeah I didn’t hate Unleashed and am looking forward to replaying the day levels in that mod once I get my PC going but the product as a whole just isn’t that great and I don’t know why people say this is the best in the franchise. I am shocked by that sentiment.
