This is backwards.
If the opponent is higher leveled than you, it will ALWAYS miss. The lower leveled youur opponent is, the more accurate it is.

AKA a level 100 will almost always hit a level 1 with an OHKO move.

But Spire still can use Banhammer on you. Make sure you have Spire Berry as your hold item.

Spire Berry neutralizes a Spire-effective hit for one turn.

I'm not an artist or a spriter, but I would think it would be close to completion by now.

Those can't be stats. Their SpDef would be really weak, susceptible to a OHKO by Jolly Luvdisc's Surf.

I find the contrast in HG/SS TCG art interesting.

I don't still play the TCG, but the store I work at sells Pokémon cards, so I've gotten a look at both the decks and the special cards in the tins from the HG/SS expansion.

The deck arts are quite beautifully designed. It makes Typhlosion look cool, and to be honest he's a pretty bland Pokémon.

The artwork on the cards in the tins, on the other hand, is beyond terribad. (Sorry for bad quality.)

It took me a minute to figure out where the hell Meganium's head was. It's pretty obvious in that picture, but...at first, I thought it might've been a Cradily. The pictures are all super-zoom-ins on the Pokémon's head. The best comparison I can think of is that "The Dog" photo line.

On the other hand, in the process of trying to find a picture of those tins...I found the most beautiful artwork I've ever seen on a trading card.

Lugia

It's also funny that this new Lugia card heavily borrows from the original Lugia card, both in attack name and attack effect.

Just felt like sharing that.

The day they make a stylized console Pokemon RPG in lieu of the deck arts and Lugia links you posted, I will be in debt to Nintendo. Think how Okami utilized an actual style of drawing (sumi-e). Now apply what you see on those cards to 3D. Gorgeous.
