I know Nintendo. When everything seems to be finished they announce something special like in any Nintendo Direct. This could happen today.. well i hope so

Sakurai may have said that but he may have left out other reasons why it was delayed. Who knows, maybe a newcomer did delay the 3ds version, just like sonic did.

I honestly doubt it because Brawl had many reason for it's delays. I think they have the characters ready at this point.

I know it's the last day of E3 and it's natural to think start with a bang and end with a bang but iit's nintendo after all.... And plus Sakurai left E3 last night to return to Super smash bros land on Lakitus cloud so the chance of a confirmation without his presence imo is even less likely.

We already got 3 newcomers announced the same than last year so the satisfactory dish of hype for E3 has been given although of course how that hype effects individuals depends on if you gave a damn about the characters that got shown in my case 0 damn were given because I only care for

But that was 3 character announcements regardless just because you don't give a damn about the E3 characters doesn't mean they wasn't revealed or that they are not in the game but yes we all here in this thread and the K. Room thread are blood thirsty for justice.

We need our characters to destroy the new female reps to destroy the 4 gaming icons and destroy all the goody too shoos.

Yes Villains Rule indeed but please I know you are hyped but it is logically in your best interest to not expect another newcomer reveal because based on everything that has happened so far it is extremely unlikely plus we all know if it did happen it would be one of the other douche characters on the sal leak because Sakurai is a jerk.

Mewtwo was hidden in Melee so was Ganondorf and Wolf was in Brawl.

Badasses by tradition are left un announced I feel the same for Either Ridley or K. Rool i strongly believe only one will make it but feel really strong that at least one will be playable.

Don't worry come September 13th (it's 13th iisn't it?)

JPN Release date we will know the whole roster actually most likely we will know a few days before that actually thank god for dodgy links and broken Street dates and dodgy people

A newcomer would delay both versions, not only the 3DS one. But I doubt that is the case, Sora Ltd probably wants to make sure the game will not have any glaring bugs and glitches before the release. I wouldn't expect any late newcomer added to the game because of the delay.

I still am shocked as I am disappointed that the game didn't get a worldwide release date.

Not officially. The whole game got leaked a bit before the release date. We found out the info over a day or so of discovery. Since Ridley wasn't too far in the emissary, people were hoping for playable meta ridley here. then they fought him, too :/

I looked it up, seems it was a few days before the japanses release.

Although there was a leaker who spilled a lot of the roster (wolf, rob, lucario taking mewtwos place) a whiiiile before the game came out.

And apparently that was the Treehouse's last look at Smash, the chances of whatever "extremely hype" reveal Zero was talking about seem incredibly slim now.

I don't think we'll get a Ridley announcement at this point, but at least a veteran villain announcement would be great.
