Also, is it true that more characters are supposed to be announced later during the tournament and QaA?

It's interesting. Miis were pretty much the only characters that I outright didn't want to see appear in the game. Yet, now that I see them in action, they're really frigging cool looking. They passed from an idea I loathed to an idea that I really like. I mean, I'm not entirely satisfied with it, but it does pleases me.

I wonder if Ridley detractors would feel the same if he was confirmed? I mean, now they may abhor the idea, but if excecuted correctly, they may end up liking him when shown in action.

I think the Sword and Arm-Gun Miis look sick! The Boxing One...is meh.

I would be quite disappointed... I don't dislike Mewtwo, but even Pac-Man would be better.

Also, I hated the Miis at first too, but I am appreciating the character now. The concept is pretty cool.

However, as people are playing the Smash demo at E3, more characters are getting disconfirmed. Shadow the Hedgehog and Tingle were spotted as Assist Trophies not too long ago. And there is probably more to come. As long as Ridley isn't spotted as a stage hazard by people playing the demo, I'm not going to stress too much about this.

I'm pretty sure its confirmed that Pyrosphere won't be in the tournament, but on the bright side at least he really can't be deconfirmed there. I'm confident that Sakurai will announce him after the tournament as a surprise. If he doesn't well that just means he's saving Ridley for another day.

I think that's done intentionally for balance purposes. There exists different versions of the demos, with different characters even. The 3DS version has Yoshi, Luigi, Sheik and Toon Link playable, but not Rosalina, Zero Suit Samus, Link or Olimar.

I am surprised that we did not get a Ridley confirmation; I suppose in hind-sight it is not unfathomable. However, we are still in the race I guess. I would not be surprised if he was a hidden character at this rate though.

Come to think about it, that demo can't possibly the demo they'll use for the tournament, because Final Destination isn't included. Wasn't it confirmed that the final match will be played on Final Destination? (Unless they play on the FD-version of one of the stages.)
