IF Ridley is not a normal playable character, he will be some kind of newly created category: something like a playable boss in a new "players vs. boss" mode. He'd be his Super Metroid size or maybe even bigger, and would control/move very differently from a normal player character.

After all this buildup, there's now way Sakurai is dumb enough to reveal Ridley as just another Boss Hazard like Yellow Devil.

QUEEN Metroid finished off WEAKENED Ridley and not-so-off-screen. His threat level is as high (or even higher) as Metroid`s according to Adam. So, maybe he was too weak and damaged to flee or accepted this fate?..i doubt later option, but former one sounds possible.
And after 66 more pages, we should change title until it will be 667 pages or lock this thread for one day or something like that. I mean we has f***load of posts here already!

I think the whole point of the Metroid killing Ridley off-screen was that kind of the point of Other M was to link the events of Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. To give the events of why Ridley was frozen and kept in a space station in Fusion when he was killed in Super Metroid.

Well you do fight Ridley twice in this game, even iif the first time it's only as the mystery creature.

Anyway yeah it makes no sense for Ridley to be killed by a Metroid since they are under the command of MB, it would means that Mother Brain give the order to kill Ridley, why would she do that ?
That's also the main reason why I don't see Ridley and Mother Brain teaming up in a game after Other M.

If I recall right and in the right canon. Mother Brain sees the Space Pirates and Ridley as disposal tools as means to a end. Prehaps the cloned version of Ridley simply did not serve her purpose. Though I didn't finish Other M to understand what her motivation was in that game.

She didn`t know it was Ridley and MB isn`t Mothen Brain, its an android that has AI based off Mother Brain, but she still has different personality (she thinks that HUMANS must pay after that incedent and not that everyone is inferiour and must be erased from existance to make order in universe or something like that, i don`t remember exactly).

I don't see that. I actually think I'd be more mad if they did this instead of just made Ridley a normal stage hazard/boss.

Why haven't there been any Metroid stages for 3DS?

I mean, in previous titles, there has typically been two stages devoted to Metroid, and now we get a grand total of one? And no concrete information that separates it from Battlefield?

Maybe we'll get a Hunters stage. Or Pinball! Dark Samus proves that he still considers Metroid Prime an important part of Nintendo's history.

Or a Fusion stage. With Nightmare as a boss! Just as long as it doesn't screech like a baby when its mask is removed.

Why would you be more mad if they did this? Just curious, since Ridley as a playable boss (either in a new mode, or as a boss hazard in Pyrosphere that players can control) would be a more prestigious position than just a normal stage hazard/boss.

They could at least have shown Ridley struggling or something, it's just the Metroid's vision and then it jumps into Roidley like he is a horror movie char that dies in the first minutes.
Btw, Anthony is a cool guy, but doesn't deserve a spot on the roster(not even as AT), and he ended up being alive.
i thought MB would regain Mother Brain's memory, I always wanted to see her confronting Samus, at least they didn't screwed up like Ridley

She did...kinda. And how would MB attack Samus other than by using those creatures or freeze gun? Her phisical strength and telepathy of some kind maybe could help her, but not for too long.

I just think its a waste of development time on a feature nobody wants or would use much.

I'd be mad cause he spent time on making Ridley playable without actually making him a playable character....I see it as more a big **** you to the Ridley fans more then anything.

Instead of wasting time on something like that why not spent time actually making him a playable character like the rest of the cast.
