I hadn't realized how awful Little Birdie was until now! That's not the Ridley I know!(Little Birdie is too small!)

I cant get over samus in the first 2 prime games shes just thr bestI like how they touch more on Samus past, but this thing should have been a movie, except the part of this f******* emotional Samus that can't take care of herself
And in Other M, even after having defeated Ridley 5 times, she stays there like it's the first time she confronts him, at least Other M isn't necessary for the timeline, right?I cant get over samus in the first 2 prime games shes just thr best
Even just simply going up or down a elevater she so badass favirote female VGC by far probly favirote of all.
Look on the bright side! And in Other M, even after having defeated Ridley 5 times, she stays there like it's the first time she confronts him, at least Other M isn't necessary for the timeline, right?
And I just got into Adolescent Ridley part, this game keeps ruining my view of Ridley more and moreLook on the bright side!
That scene at least makes Ridley look badass.
Ridley was annihilated for good in the destruction of Zebes in Super Metroid. Ridley escaped alive or intact enough to keep coming back in literally every other Metroid before that chronologically. Killing Ridley could easily cause enough of a decrease in stress, and then Ridley being cloned back to life by the federation (on accident no less) is kind of a surprise to everyone. And again, if we start ditching games from canon just because we don't like them, the series has almost no games because people don't like a lot of the series. And in Other M, even after having defeated Ridley 5 times, she stays there like it's the first time she confronts him, at least Other M isn't necessary for the timeline, right?
I'd prefer the opposite, because then we would finally have clarification about the stage and the lava and the shadows and the lights and Ridley and everything.I just hope the Pyrosphere stage isn't available during Best Buy's Smash Fest (the E3 booth was at my closest store last year, so chances are it'll be there again). Potentially seeing Stage Hazard Ridley would ruin the entire event.
Though on the flipside, he could be playable there.
You know what would have been totally awesome? And I just got into Adolescent Ridley part, this game keeps ruining my view of Ridley more and more
I didn't meaned that, I know the decreasing of stress, but it's not a reason to stay complete freezed, I understand it's like seeing a ghost, but I doubt that it wasn't a shock for her when confronting him the first time. About Little Birdie, they didn't had to make it look like a bird, if he's a pterodactyl/dragon, his infant form would look like adolescent one but smaller, actually the adolescent Ridley and Little Birdie aren't just as bad as the original designRidley was annihilated for good in the destruction of Zebes in Super Metroid. Also, of course Little Birdie isn't the Ridley you know. 1. It's an infant for all intents and purposes. Are you literally identical to how you were when you were detonating your diapers? Probably not. 2. This is an infant that is a CLONE that was probably genetically modified and was definitely raised in a completely different environment. So I mean obviously it's not the same Ridley as in Metroid, Prime, Prime 3, or Super Metroid.
I've gone over this so many times that I'm done being nice. If you somehow can't distinguish the clone Ridley from Other M and Fusion from the original Ridley to the point where Other M Ridley somehow impacts your view of the original, you need to work on some things.
Ultimately that doesn't matter. We're undoubtedly going to get some trailers and whatnot before the Best Buy booths come into play, which should include Ridley's fate. The point is, if he isn't playable, then it's going to be painful seeing him lingering about the stage when the lucky few of us play the game for the first time. But on the other hand, we could get to try him out ourselves should the best outcome occur.I'd prefer the opposite, because then we would finally have clarification about the stage and the lava and the shadows and the lights and Ridley and everything.
I honestly agree. While playable Ridley would be cool, I just want to know his fate by now! The insanity! Oh, lament!I'd prefer the opposite, because then we would finally have clarification about the stage and the lava and the shadows and the lights and Ridley and everything.
It was Sakamoto's idea....I didn't meaned that, I know the decreasing of stress, but it's not a reason to stay complete freezed, I understand it's like seeing a ghost, but I doubt that it wasn't a shock for her when confronting him the first time. Seriously, who tought this was a good idea?(at least we have Zero Mission)
Do you mean the same guy who thought of Other M's "prime" ideas? It was Sakamoto's idea....
I hope the opposite happens: Pyrosphere is in the demo, and there's no Ridley to be seen. And rising lava is shown to be the true stage hazard (?).I just hope the Pyrosphere stage isn't available during Best Buy's Smash Fest (the E3 booth was at my closest store last year, so chances are it'll be there again). Potentially seeing Stage Hazard Ridley would ruin the entire event.

I think its the fact that the Space Dragon is a clone is the issue. Cloning sorta implies that a perfect or at least near-perfect copy of the original is going to be made. So when I hear Clone Ridley, I imagine a perfect replica. Say that its a malignant/degenerate clone, and I'll think of the Other M version.Ridley was annihilated for good in the destruction of Zebes in Super Metroid. If by "prime" ideas you mean Ridley's lost of dignity with that horrid design and evolution nonsense....yeah. it is the same guy....Do you mean the same guy who thought of Other M's "prime" ideas?
The thing is simply that it's obviously not "Oh we created Ridley exactly as he was in Super Metroid". Ridley was literally re-born from the original Ridley's DNA and was raised in completely different circumstances in which he wasn't even alive for nearly as long as the original Ridley.I think its the fact that the Space Dragon is a clone is the issue. The other issue is that a ton of cloned wildlife looks very similar to how they appeared in Super Metroid, and according to Samus's flashbacks to Super Metroid, her Other M Power Suit is the same one she wore in Super. So for all we know, the original Ridley actually DID look like clone Ridley in the universe of Other M.
And Samus' personality, the game's excuse for not having certain power-ups is that "Adam doesn't authorizes it"If by "prime" ideas you mean Ridley's lost of dignity with that horrid design and evolution nonsense....yeah. it is the same guy....
Just 39 days according to the E3 threadI just want to point out that the mystery of ridley is perfectly explained by this music
Will it be playable? Will we be surprised at e3? is Sakurai the best troll ever? Why it's so ambiguous?
So many question, months until the answers.
But will we know at e3? (I believe yes but not sure) See? too much questions, no answers.Just 39 days according to the E3 thread
It's the concept of Struggle. No story would be interesting without the main character struggling, just as no video game would be interesting if it was just a straight line with a big 'You win' button at the end.I just want to point out that the mystery of ridley is perfectly explained by this music

Let's just hope Other M does not get a sequel....and not consider it canon....well, at least i'm not going to consider it part of the timeline....And Samus' personality, the game's excuse for not having certain power-ups is that "Adam doesn't authorizes it"
Alrighty, I'll just chalk up the magical size-changing Super Metroid, Samus's radically different suit from the original game, and Mother Brain's method of killing the Metroid to self-serving memory on Samus's part. The thing is simply that it's obviously not "Oh we created Ridley exactly as he was in Super Metroid". Ridley was literally re-born from the original Ridley's DNA and was raised in completely different circumstances in which he wasn't even alive for nearly as long as the original Ridley.
And I usually consider the extremely rapid advancement through its life cycle to be a sign that it's not even a perfect replica and there was something wrong with it.
EDIT: Also I want to note, I am pretty sure MOST if not ALL of the wildlife that was cloned was cloned on purpose EXCEPT for Ridley.
At least he doesn't look as bulky as he was in Other M from what I saw in the shadowHonestly, this is what happens when games with stories happen. Over time and between systems and game styles, things change. I mean look at Ocarina of Time Ganondorf and Twilight Princess Ganondorf. Literally the same person. But their designs obviously aren't identical. Hell, even Wind Waker Ganondorf is the same person. But they all look noticeably different because they're in different games with different styles, and the context is different as well.
I don't know why Ridley has to literally look 100% identical down to every detail in every game. Should we have had NES sprite Ridley in every game just for the sake of consistency?
I hope that his SSB4 appearance's head doesn't look like it's been beaten flat with a shovel. Other Ridley's head was the one of the only things I disliked about his design(the other being his too vibrant and blotchy colors.)Wow, Ridley's death in Other M is so anti-climatic
At least he doesn't look as bulky as he was in Other M from what I saw in the shadow
EDIT: f***, forget about it, he's still alive, well, he isn't called "The Cunning God of Death" for nothing
I have a ton of faith in Sakurai and the dev team to make Other M Ridley far closer to his snazzy concept art than he was actually modeled to be in Other M.I hope that his SSB4 appearance's head doesn't look like it's been beaten flat with a shovel. If he appears like that....I will have to make Ridley eat him again.....I hope that his SSB4 appearance's head doesn't look like it's been beaten flat with a shovel. Other Ridley's head was the one of the only things I disliked about his design(the other being his too vibrant and blotchy colors.)
I felt like his Brawl boss design is his best design, aside from Meta Ridley from MP3:C. Why did they have to change it to the mutated monstrosity that is Other Ridley? The colors are too bright, and his head looks so odd. Space Pirates should not be purple like a blotch of paint. If he appears like that....I will have to make Ridley eat him again.....
Lets hope so. I honestly think Other M Ridley's existence helps his chances for Smash. The body type is soooo Donkey Kong like. Not saying Sakurai couldn't put Super Metroid Ridley in but Other M design makes Sakurai's job alot easier.I have a ton of faith in Sakurai and the dev team to make Other M Ridley far closer to his snazzy concept art than he was actually modeled to be in Other M.
EDIT: Maybe even better than the concept art, honestly. We'll find out. Though if he's a stage hazard, he'll probably look the same. :\
:3 I prefer him anorexic....Every Ridley design was like that.....Roidley is the only exception....I felt like his Brawl boss design is his best design, aside from Meta Ridley from MP3:C. He can keep the spikes and the muscle he got from his workout with Wii Fit Trainer. Those aren't that bad.
Of course Ridley looks better anorexic. It makes me question how his head stays attached and how he manages to swallow anything bigger than a pea, which makes it good. On an unrelated note, the Ridley on the top right looks like the Blue Eyes White Dragon.:3 I prefer him anorexic....Every Ridley design was like that.....Roidley is the only exception....
