Simple, just shrink his wings by about 1/3 their normal size and they're a perfect size, or fold them back to appear smaller.

Anywho, does anyone have the literal Japanese translation from the "enemy from Samus' past" Miiverse post? I read somewhere that it references Samus' "trauma" instead, which makes it obviously about Ridley, as opposed to the vague official English translation.

I know that might be old, but it was news to me.

Well, even then, the trauma part basically means that Samus battled Ridley's clone in the Pyrosphere, which doesn't entirely hint to a stage hazard, but just an experience that happened in said part of the Bottle Ship.

I've seen it here before, but I don't know where it is.

It's nothing special, but it's fairly obvious that he's referring to Ridley, specifically.

I think Anomilus's point he brang up last page was really good and intresting i know its been brought up
Before but how he coverd it was reallyy good.

I think his point was a bigger obstacle than his Size argument.

As time has gone on and comparison and more light has been shead different peoples opnions and thoughts about Ridleys size made me realise the Size argument imo is almost ''Reaching...''

Expecially when wow...someone mentioned that Bowser J.r in galaxy is bigger or same size was it? Than Sm4sh bowser.

And that Pic on the actual Sm4sh forum of Kirby and Olimar side by side and Sakurai's quote along that even...

Ridley just like Ganondorf and bowser have all been resized either it be their main games or spin offs.

I think you're thinking of his tail, which can stretch and contract. As for his wings, I don't recall said feature ever being something he's capable of. However, he can tuck his wings close together if need be.

Well, Sakurai could just "Nintendocize" his wings if need be, as basically every game Ridley appears in that's developed by mainstream Nintendo features him with smaller wings. Retro Studios' Meta Ridley is what introduced the design of Ridley with a huge wing-span, and said Ridley has only been in the Prime series and Other M.

:/ sometimes im too hard with myself, im a perfectionist....and because of that, im not satisfied with my own work, even if other people say it is Ok, nice, excellent , etc.....and well it is one of my future personal proyects, but im not an expert yet.....and yeah, i have seen that beautiful Ridley sculpture before, but he made it using a 3D modeling program....while me, i may use the traditional method, using some kind of clay and sculpting them with my own hands....and the idea of mass producing the sounds nice, but maybe too expensive....and of course, i cant believe they made figures of them and not Ridley, maybe because he is a Villain, but that makes no sense, since Ridley is the 2nd MOST ICONIC CHARACTER in the Metroid series.....

About the comic.....i have some wicked stories in mind.....and the way i would like to draw it....is to be as acurate as posible to prime's style of art.....or something like that......Im hoping that one day, my fear to fail on it goes away and be able to do it and post it here......but only time will tell....

and thank you, if inspiration and time comes to me, i will start drawing it into my wall..........

Eh, I'll pass. The thread had always been a red flag to me over the title alone. Basically a place for people to post their thoughts/arguments that they know aren't liked elsewhere, so of course it would contain plenty of dumb ones about Ridley.

But even that's just speculation. For all we know Sakurai and co. may have gotten things figured out by now.

Acutally I think it's rather significant, provided the literal translation only mentions that "Samus's Trauma" has appeared in that area, rather than "An enemy will appear". It's that possible ad-lib by the translator that has lead so many (including myself initially) to believe Ridley would be a stage hazard. One references Other M, and the other can be interpreted as hinting at something in Smash.

:/ exactly....i need to appreciate my efforts.....and i have seen people that have sculpted Omega Ridley, but for some odd reason, they never finished him.....and as you may have noticed, i like that design a lot, i do not know why.....maybe it's because of its complexity (yeah...i like to make my life complicated.)...and im going to start modeling an Art Toy for an school proyect...alongside with my Anubis bust.....it will be the second time i sculpt something.....

Oh, and im open for suggestions! It would be nice if you guys told me some good ideas for a comic about Ridley!

By any chance was there an Aurora Unit that was accessible by the pirates after the events of Prime 3? Either way, here's my thoughts on the idea:

- A badly injured but otherwise alive and no longer controlled Ridley struggles out of the Leviathan. Other pirates manage to recover him.
- Let's just assume one or two Galactic Federation soldiers were captured during the siege. Fed to Ridley, allowing him to regenerate his body just enough to resume command.
- Ridley somehow acquires an Aurora Unit at some point.
- With the GF now keeping a close eye on Pirate Homeworld because of the recent events, the Space Pirates are hindered from performing any major operations.
- An idea is then struck: Slowly and carefully allocate Pirates and resources to the previously abandoned and destroyed Planet Zebes base Tourian. Begin rebuilding of base.
- This project takes a considerable amount of time. Ridley eventually fully recovers, they succeed in establishing the Aurora Unit as the new Mother Brain and revive and designate Kraid as head of Zebes operations.
- During these events, Samus completes her mission of eradicating all Metroids on SR-388, save for the larva metroid.
- Due to GF staying so close to Pirate Homeworld, information about the larva metroid is leaked to the Pirates. Ridley is informed, and he enacts his own mission to assault Ceres Space Station and "acquire" the metroid larva for the Pirates purpose.

Maybe we could say that, due to the events of Prime 3, the metroids of Pirate Homeworld were ultimately lost which is why the Pirates would need to acquire a new "pure" Metroid.

Good? Nonsense? Useful?

Oh, and if the acquiring an Aurora Unit thing won't work, just say that the Pirates managed to gather (or steal) enough data to replicate the technology and create a new Mother Brain. Which would also explain why it's so ugly compared to the sleeker GF Aurora Units.
