Snake can be at Konami's E3...By the way E3 is in June and no veteran has a reason in June so we could see a newcomer bomb
Well, apparently there is a new Metroid game in development and the E3 is the best time to properly announce the game. That would be also the perfect opportunity to reveal Ridley for SSB4.By the way E3 is in June and no veteran has a reason in June so we could see a newcomer bomb
Source on a new Metroid confirmed in development? >.> I don't think they would reveal that kind of thing to the public before a trailer, like how no one knew of Other M's existence before its first trailer. But yeah, if there is one we'll see it at E3. If it's another Metroid without Ridley though (like Metroid II, Prime 2, or Hunters), then that won't help his case much...Well, apparently there is a new Metroid game in development and the E3 is the best time to properly announce the game. can't find the source at the moment, but Retro is indeed working on a new game and the Metroid Prime trademark was renewed recently. safe to assume that the new game is a Metroid titleSource on a new Metroid confirmed in development? >.> I don't think they would reveal that kind of thing to the public before a trailer, like how no one knew of Other M's existence before its first trailer. Besides what LiteTheIronMan said, take a look at this:Source on a new Metroid confirmed in development? >.> I don't think they would reveal that kind of thing to the public before a trailer, like how no one knew of Other M's existence before its first trailer. so that means either at E3 or in a direct. so nothing new for ridley, unless they take the new design you know they will make and put it in smash.I found the reddit thread along with the link to the trademark renewal hubbub. Reila's link is also relevant.

I'm not holding my breath or anything, but it's a safe bet to guess that we'll be seeing Metroid news this year, and it'd be super hype to see a Ridley newcomer tie-in alongside it.
That no confirmation of anything. Reggie wore a pin and Reggie did his usual PR protocol of giving vague answers that can mean anything. Not to mention that article is about 2 months old.Besides what LiteTheIronMan said, take a look at this:

It is pretty safe to assume there is a new Metroid game coming.
if an intellectual property's trademark is renewed, then the trademark holder has between three months to six years to produce material related to the trademark before they lose all rights to their IP.That no confirmation of anything. I don't remember ever saying it was confirmation of anything, what I am saying is that there are plenty of reasons to believe a Metroid game is being developed. But by any means, believe what you want. Also, of course the article is about 2 months old, the VGX event was in December lol. That no confirmation of anything. Actually makes Brawl Ridley look worse, imo.Since there's no stupid arguing going on about Ridley right now, I guess this would be the right time for this.
A bunch of people were pointing out that Other M Ridley looked like he fit more than Brawl Ridley in that comparison Angelglory posted. I've used the amazing powers of MS Paint to fix it up a bit. I couldn't shorten the neck like I wanted to because Paint didn't want to show off too much, but here's the same picture with a smaller head on Brawl Ridley:
Please excuse the solid background it now has, that was also Paint's doing. Does that look better now?
its really goodSince there's no stupid arguing going on about Ridley right now, I guess this would be the right time for this.

Now that's an improvement.Since there's no stupid arguing going on about Ridley right now, I guess this would be the right time for this.

Well, that's just an issue with the design. I'd rather not have either of the two.By the way E3 is in June and no veteran has a reason in June so we could see a newcomer bomb
its really good
But the bad news is this pictures proves a few 100 people that the other m ridley looks a little cooler
Why didn't you give that person a cookie? Some person on tumblr found the perfect way to make Ridley playable in Smash Bros:
Haha xD
Suppose it's personal preference.Really...
To me, Ridley always looked pretty goofy with a head as big as his body.
Maybe. Do you like Melee Mewtwo over the official artwork? If not then I think there's something else at work here. Probably the neck.Suppose it's personal preference.
Personally, I like Brawl Ridley a ton better. Other M Ridley looks like he wouldn't work as well because his wings take up so much room. Of course I'm not saying something like that can't be fixed. (or if its even a real issue in the first place)Since there's no stupid arguing going on about Ridley right now, I guess this would be the right time for this.

I prefer the official art, myself, but, again, personal preference.Maybe. Do you like Melee Mewtwo over the official artwork? If not then I think there's something else at work here. Probably the neck.
Yep. I like Ridley with the long neck and large head. It makes he looks creepy and menacing, exactly like a villain should look,Suppose it's personal preference.

For me, I prefer Ridley having a large head. Makes him look larger and more menacing. The neck doesn't bother me at all.
Can't the rest of him be used to make him look bigger, instead of the head? Like the wings? And wasn't our main argument against the toobigots supposed to be that Ridley doesn't need to be big to look menacing?Yep. I like Ridley with the long neck and large head. you can be intelligent and have bulky musclesGuys, I don't think I'm ever going to accept the Roidley design. Ridley's defining characteristic is his intelligence and cunning, not his bulky muscles.
I suppose, but having a large head and long neck is part of his original design and identity. Having big wings does make he looks even more menacing, as you can see in his Omega Ridley form in Metroid Prime 3, but it isn't necessary. In fact, the perfect Ridley design, in my opinion, has quite the small wings:Can't the rest of him be used to make him look bigger, instead of the head? Like the wings?
He doesn't. See, even when Ridley is the same size as Samus (Metroid, Melee opening), parts of his body were still disproportionately big. What I am claiming to be a part essential of Ridley isn't the size of his body, but the size of his head, neck, etc. He looks monstrous regardless of the size of his body. You said you don't like how his head look and that is okay, but if you take that away from his design, he isn't Ridley anymore IMO.And wasn't our main argument against the toobigots supposed to be that Ridley doesn't need to be big to look menacing?
Intelligent people don't use steroids.you can be intelligent and have bulky muscles
On the Megaman box, Megaman is a middle-aged Asian man with a laser gun.On the Super Metroid box, Ridley is as big as Samus.
But the official artwork and his Prime appearances have a smaller head. Are you saying those aren't Ridley? I'm pretty sure his head is only big in-game to allow for detail.I suppose, but having a large head and long neck is part of his original design and identity. Having big wings does make he looks even more menacing, as you can see in his Omega Ridley form in Metroid Prime 3, but it isn't necessary. Ugh, don't remind me...On the Megaman box, Megaman is a middle-aged Asian man with a laser gun.
He isn't big. He just has a big head and wingspan. I mean, it's not like him looking menacing is a negative. Can't the rest of him be used to make him look bigger, instead of the head? Like the wings?
