Yes but, those two designs where from games where Marth starred in. I reckon this counts more than making a 'cameo' appearance as a DLC character (albeit an important one) in Awakening.

Same should be expected from Ike.

Metroid is kinda irrelevant. Similarly to how star fox is after command (note command came out after brawl) both have horribly butchered story lines now, the extra slot could easilu go to a series that is gaining popularity such as fire emblem. Or a new character that was in a recent game.

I think it's safe to say this thread, the General Discussion Social thread, the Roster Prediction Discussion thread and the Miiverse Daily Smash Photos threads would all be dealing with a lag storm shortly following a Ridley reveal.

Star Fox hasn't had a new game between Brawl and now (besides the remake of Star Fox 64). Metroid has had both Prime 3 AND Other M.

Command came out BEFORE Brawl.

And Fire Emblem is probably going to get a third character anyway.

Funny how nessok says Metroid has a butchered storyline now, when he was one of the ones that actually liked Other M, if memory serves.

If that's true I'm guessing Nessok just doesn't want Ridley playable for some reason and is just looking for excuses. Could be that he called it "butchered" seeing as how most people didn't like it, though I would've expected him to phrase it as such if that were the case.

always wanted to see charizard, ridley, and cho gath having a gentleman's tea outing together. All of the dragons.

thinking about it, gentleman ridley would be a boss skin.

Not really. Other M came out last gen, whereas Star Fox had zero console games, and as a series has been on the decline.

Metroid is anything but irrelevant.

How in the hell is Metroid irrelevant? They've been consistent for years! They are including Other M stuff into this game!

Who cares if Other M butchered the storyline. LoZ SS was not all that much of a hit in the east, and it's getting content. The reception of a single game of a major franchise is irrelevant, not the entire franchise itself.

technically; star fox had its 2009 game command. A year before other m. And don't even try to say it doesn't matter because it is on a handheld.handheld games being just as important. Both are "last gen" and both ruined storylines.

I do like to troll, but in serious in saying that Ridley doesn't deserve a spot. If anything, being a boss is enough
