Um?
Ridley can potentially end up a psuedo/semi/clone if Sakurai got lazy. This isn't all that controversial nor is it outside the realm of possibilities. I don't think it will happen, mainly due to Ridley's body proportions being very dissimilar to Charizard's, but it's silly to assert that it 100% can't happen.
I'm so sick of hearing about that second post
Understandable. It seems to have unfortunately turned into the defacto "I don't feel like arguing nor I don't have what it takes to argue, so get out of my face and read this DEBATE OVER" response. The second post is a really good post, and is worth your read (especially if you want insight on why some people truly believe Ridley isn't out of the running yet) but if all you're going to do is dodge arguments by posting "read this post bye" constantly then I wonder why you're even bothering to partake in discussions in this thread.
Putting up my Varia Suit for this, but it reminds me of when Ridley Detractors would constantly bring up Shokio's video as the end all be all of Ridley arguments without bothering to debate themselves.
I recall someone saying elsewhere that "Ridley" isn't moving at 60 fps, only at about 30 fps, which could make him look a little jerkier. The Yellow Devil also moves at 30 fps. But that's just what someone told me, anyway.
I'm not to sure. We have confirmation that Assist Trophies run at 30fps on the 3DS version, but I didn't hear anything about it for Boss Hazards (or on the Wii U for that matter). Not to mention the fact that Youtube only renders 30fps, so it's difficult to determine if Ridley and Yellow Devil actually move at that fps or not.
Anyways, my problem with Ridley is more that he keeps pivoting and resetting over and over and just looks so unnatural. The loss of frames when he resets also makes me believable that his usual animation was edited and tampered with, though as I said earlier I am ignorant on 3D animation so I am well aware that I probably have no idea what I'm talking about!
Either way, I'm confident that isn't part of his normal animation, but was altered to showcase the tease and keep Ridley in the air in the same spot for a longer period of time then he usually is. basically, I'm saying that we probably can't derive from how Ridley will act like, whether playable or boss, from the ten second clip. The clip and Ridley's actions I think were all designed specifically for that tease, and not what he'll actually do in-game.
