Well there is a rumor about a general Nintendo Direct sometime in August. If it's true, then Smash could show off a character or two. But that's just going off of the fact we usually have one normal direct. Other than that, I wouldn't know about a Smash trailer.

Obviously I know that Samus is female, every Smash player does. There's basically no center point at which that should affect the basis of my point, it's just a typo.

Ridley being teased at all is not the same as being teased as playable.

I think he's been teased for sure...as a boss. To say anything else of his "teasing" is just desperate.

If he ends up being playable then by golly, I would be surprised and wouldn't object, but the chances are ever so slim.

I came up with a Ridley trailer, featuring a veteran. You guy's will like it.

Samus and Pikachu are fighting on Pyrosphere. In typical Smash fashion, when Samus defeats Pikachu, she touches his trophy to bring Pika back. Pikachu acts all adorable and brushes up to Samus. There's strangely a bunch of boxes and uselss items in the back.

Suddenly, they hear a screach. Pikachu braces for battle. But you can tell Samus is terrified as she knows who's coming. She waves for Pikachu to run with her but Pikachu is confused, he's ready to fight another challenger. Once Pikachu gets the idea, he begins to run with her. (The easter egg would be that the ridley shadow behind pika in the direct, is foreshadowing this trailer).

Samus is almost out and right before she escapes she looks back for Pikachu. BAM! Pikachu gets slammed into Samus knocking them both over and hurting them immensely. HE hovers right in front of them, readying his next attack.

RIDLEY FITS RIGHT IN

*cue gameplay of ridley*

Pikachu is too injured to get up as Samus tries to help him. Pikachu lets out little Pika, signaling for Samus to turn. When she does turn, Samus is traumatized. She begina backing up with Pikachu wimpering in her lap. Samus' suit is malfunctioning because of Pikachu slamming her with electricity.

Samus has no missiles to hit Ridley with, she knows it's hopeless. Ridley begins charging his plasma breath, Samus holds Pikachu tightly. Pikachu screams Pika once more to hopefully get someone's attention.

KABOOM!.

Ridley is hit by an explosion, burning part of his wing. And knocking him out.

Samus and Pikachu turn, shocked.

Someone pops out of one of the boxes in the background

"Kept yah waiting, huh?"

Yes actually, I approved it a few weeks ago, I even wrote a little backstory to how they fell in love, it's in the last 300 pages or something.

Also I was gone watching Professional Tennis all day, which is why I haven't replied until now.

Also since Pyrosphere is not a part of the Stages 1 thing I feel like it would be the stage that you:
a) Fight Ridley on (obvious statement is obvious)
b) Unlock after unlocking Ridley (or something else Samus related)

I'm guessing we're actually gonna get Ness confirmed real soon too, maybe even in the Ridley trailer. Earthbound's anniversary is the 27th, which could be when they're announced. Also, Wario might be announced then as that's also the anniversary of Mario & Wario, which was Wario's second appearance.
