Well, I have my doubts about dlc too, but I don't think it's impossible

They're gonna do DLC 100%. Characters (whether just skins or actual different characters or more likely both) are happening.

And I was counting Mii Fighters as 1, I totally forgot. Guess they do technically count as 3. But it's a lot harder call this time around, with Sakurai giving all multiple characters their own slot, but then shoving the fighters into one slot? idk. time will tell.

He said they're 3 separate characters. Whether or not they share a slot on the character select screen is thus irrelevant, especially since in Brawl you could select between Sheik or Zelda or any of the Pokémon Trainer's Pokémon (or the Pokémon Trainer himself) on the character select screen.

At worst the Mii Fighters will get that kind of functionality (probably the same is true of characters with alternate skins).

This is totally the Ridley thread. And I'm totally crossing my fingers for a Ridley reveal one week from today

Unless Sakurai makes a stupid decision (which has happened before), Ridley's gonna be revealed before launch. What sense would it make to build up a highly requested and controversial character for a year only to have random people unveil the truth for you?

Sakurai did cause it though. We have no solid answer on what Ridley's role is still. He kept Ridley's role so vague for so long and then continues to shroud us with mystery with that Shadow during the direct and still no information on his role thus far.

Yeah, this thread is pretty ridiculous. But it's entertaining nontheless. Hopefully Ridley is playable. I thought he was one of the cooler looking Nintendo Villains. But I kind of think he might be shown off after the game is released. If he's playable that is.

I haven't really heard anything. Hell, I don't think anything Nintendo shows up at Gamescom. I would have expected something like the Tokyo Game Show. But I think that's post the 3DS version release. So it'd have to be something only for the Wii-U version.

So he's been confirmed as a stage hazard. Why hasn't he been shown in the many, many pictures and footage of Pyrosphere after the Direct? There's no real reason to hiding him at this point if he isn't playable.

And you're acting as if Ridley's only talked about in America, and that nobody cares about him or the franchise. Metroid is a much more popular franchise than that, it's touted as one of Nintendo's greatest, by both the fans and the company themselves. Even after it was put on hiatus after Other M, Shigeru Miyamoto and the other Nintendo staff are still intent on keeping it afloat by giving it representation in other games, while promising that two new games are on the way.

Rool's a better choice than Ridley (I never at all hate the idea of him since he could be a good character addition)."
