Pretty sure Sakurai wouldn't hype up bosses after the E3 2013 reveal anymore, or tease something done twice, one time by himself, nor cause fake hype by doing this as a boss

Almost so. There's more than enough reasons that point at him being playable, but you never know.

Well for starters I count the each Mii Fighter as 1, so right now according to me we have 39 characters officially confirmed, not 37.
But yeah, once you get into DLC range, stuff gets crazy.
Seriously folks. I cannot stress that enough, because post-release added characters can wind out going soooooo many different ways.

I will begin to doubt Ridley's inclusion once a detractor presents a feasible argument as to why Ridley is not a playable character. As of current; however, the biggest argument against Riddles is that he was implied to be a boss through an ambiguous allusion, or not Ridley, I suppose. His shadow was implied to be a boss.

I count different Models and Mii Fighters as a seperate thing (cuz Models)
So with my math, including Wario, Biker Wario, Dark Pit, Jigglypuff, Ness and Mr. G&W, we have just about...
50 Characters.
That's 50 seperate Models.

There's always the chance that Sakurai literally just screwed all the people who want Ridley in Smash with that tease.
But I'd like to think that's very unlikely....especially considering how light hearted the guy really is. He may troll, but he's not a jerk.

Unless Sakurai makes a stupid decision (which has happened before), Ridley's gonna be revealed before launch. What sense would it make to build up a highly requested and controversial character for a year only to have random people unveil the truth for you?

Ridley along with Mewtwo had better have a reveal trailer, be it together...or separate. It's a complete waste to not show off these guys before the game releases. Heck, the odds of them actually being playable if they're not shown off, imho, drop by 50% the day the game is released.
Sakurai is not an idiot. He knows what we want, and he'll give it to us....eventually.
(oh btw, they're both sitting safely at the 95% zone right now, I have faith in them both)

What if (and this is a big if) Ridley wasn't playable? Then would Little Birdy have to eat him too?
I don't see Bandana Dee as REALLY unlikely, but I think that adding Bandana Dee before other characters like Ridley (of course), K. Rool, Shulk, etc. would be horrendously unfair to the series that need representation and don't have much of it in the form of PCs already (like DK/Metroid style). That's basically the premise of me not being too big a fan of characters such as Rosalina very much. The difference is that I sorta understand Rosalina because the Mario franchise is Nintendo's most well-known franchise. Adding another rep to Kirby that isn't really very well known a character compared to others would feel like an injustice to me because Kirby has three characters already. I think that it would be selfish of Sakurai to rep his own series further and not other series that need repping. Plus, if you give Kirby four reps, it puts it just under Zelda, Pokémon and Mario. Kirby is an important franchise to Nintendo, sure, but I wouldn't say it's popular enough to warrant that. I mean, Metroid is commonly viewed as a very important franchise to Nintendo (to the point where it often gets thrown in with the likes of Mario and Zelda) but its section would be perfect with Ridley. If Ridley were added, I think the Metroid section would be as perfect as it can get as Metroid as a series is right now.

Because of the other franchises that should really get more reps before Kirby does (since a lot of people argue that the Kirby section is perfect as it is now), I really have a hard time believing that anything outside of developer bias would get him in without those other characters getting in too. I am like 99% sure Ridley is playable. Whenever there has been a break in pattern with Sakurai it has ended in something good, usually a character.
