Why would Ridley's reveal be an apocalypse? Wouldn't it be a great thing for Ridley-oh, I forgot, Ridley's reveal would basically cause the Smash fan base to explode.

You know, sometime before Robin's reveal, the number of Robin supporters began to drastically increase. More and more people began to think that he/she would be a great (and actually possible) addition to the Smash roster. And what do you know, Robin was confirmed against all odds. I wonder if something similar is happening here with Ridley...

I'm on Miiverse every day, and I'm happy to report that the number of Ridley supporters is growing by the day.
Almost NO ARGUMENTS about Ridley have been happening since Mid-Late July.

Great to see new hype building for the Ridley army. Honestly, at this point there are so few newcomers with even a 40% chance of being playable I don't see how you can be against him. It's like Palutena prior to her inclusion, even if you didn't like her, you had to admit she was the most-likely character, so might as well expect and get used to her. Now of course our Cunning God of Death takes that spot.

Well, in the case of Ridley, I think Sakurai is making it more and more obvious with each tease that he's going to be in.

I wasn't convinced Ridley was in until the Prince Sablé tweet. But that was just giving it away, in my mind. Going out of their way to confirm that he's an Assist Trophy when he had such minor fan demand, and was presented the same way every other Assist Trophy was just screamed "we're not confirming Ridley isn't playable for a reason".

Pretty much every gaming board in the history of forever will go down, hell, more like anything that has a sizable Smash Bros fanbase. Even the big social media websites like twitter and tumblr will probably have #Ridley trending. The only announcement that would possibly be even bigger is a Mewtwo announcement, although that probably has more to do with there being millions of Pokemon websites and forums.

Man for someone who supposedly never played an AC game you sure have a lot of gifs of it....
On topic: If there was a direct reveal with Ridley I would probably avoid Crashboards for a week just to make sure everything dies down
