He just hovers. Without really moving his head. His arms barely move too.in fact, he never moves from his spot, he performs instead what looks to be a roar during this hover phase (which doesn't seem to be getting disrupted) before continuing to move to the left.
Then i guess there is an entire species of Samuses, with power suits and everything...or something really f***** up beyond what human's mind can comprehend.I was thinking about this. On an evolutionary basis, Ridley's species shouldn't have any reason to be so intelligent. They can fly, breathe fire, and they have sharp claws with a spiked tail. Therefore, the only reason they would need that much intellect is if every other predator on that planet is much, much more dangerous.
Obviously Anthony is the biggest threat in that situation if you didn't saw what Samus can do. He is the biggest and bulkiest of the group and has a giant gun. But Ridley waited for Samus to arrive instead of joining those creatures and enjoying that.Anything with half a brain would already single out Samus as the biggest threat in that situation.
I think intelligence is a natural trait. He's a dragon. Dragons are not stupid creatures. They're some of the longest lived, most cunning, most ruthless entities in fiction.
Ridley is obviously not a dragon. He just looks like something between a dragon and a pterosaurus and that something didn't ate anything for at least 1 year.
He is still intelligent enough to at least be unique compared to other bosses and enemies. I already made a post that explains why Roidley is not just a mindless beast.Even when the clone was a baby it watched Samus and knew she was the most dangerious, clone Ridley is just a monster taking out the biggest threat to him.
You heard me, cloned Ridley is just a monster, he does not compare to the genuine article.
And if he would be just an animal, then he would never trick those scientists into entering his cage so he could kill them and escape. He could have remained in that cage since they were feeding him and he was just kinda like a pet.
OR he just can change color like an chameleon, but a lot better (he can turn invisible). Like chameleons in fiction. He turns dark-grey in Other M when his skin becomes invincible to Plasma Beam. Also, in ZM, Ridley wasn't black. I don't know how this color is called, but it isn't black.THEORY TIME!
So we set the scene in Zero Mission, Ridley is a slick jet black, Samus kicks his a** and he is sent in to be rebuilt as meta Ridley, Ridley starts to lose color as he should be dead making him the trademark purple. He then fights Samus as his new robotic form, he loses but flees. Then in metroid prime 3 Ridley is slowly healing and turning a hue of blue as flesh starts to take over his body once more even before the phazon and is rapidly sped up in Omega Ridley form with the phazon. This is where he starts to heal to super metroid status, afterwards his body pushes out the unneeded robotic parts and he has returned to a normal purple hue, still watered down from his normal jet black, but it will suffice. Super metroid then marks the death of OG Ridley. As Roidley died as soon as he grew up, he never achieved Jet black coloring.
Ok. So, if Ridley was badly beat up in Metroid/Metroid Zero Mission, and had to be rebuilt into a half cyborg, how does he return to SR-388 in a fully organic form? He doesn't. Ridley is never in Super Metroid. It's another member of his species serving as Mother Brain's lackey. The real Ridley is Meta-Ridley. He's still out there... Waiting.
- He died on Zebes and there was absolutely NO SPACE PIRATES on SR-388.
- It is officialy confirmed or at least it is canonical, i don't remember, that Ridley is dead. And his clone. And that clone's X-parasite mimic. It doesn't means he will never return because there is still Space Pirates somewhere and they (and maybe Galactic Federation) would most likely store Ridley's DNA (and Kraid's since he somehow returned in SM after Samus killed him in ZM) just in case something like that happens. Or, you know, Metroid will not get Fusion sequel and will, just like LoZ, get only prequels, sequels of prequels, prequels or prequels, etc. Then we could get explanation why exactly Ridley is suddenly organic in SM.
I noticed something about Galactic Federation - there is no other specieses shown except for humans and maybe Chozo and Luminoth. At least in the games. That is weird since there is supposed to be a lot of them...
