Totally, the excuse itself is rather silly and rather insulting to the designers, as gnoggin said in his video on the subject a professional artist should undoubtedly be able to make a Ridley that looks natural

Then a CGI trailer starts, and the fiery Smash logo comes up, and it shows a trailer that starts off heavily implying that Ridley is a boss, with Samus running around the stage in fear, with a humongous shadow chasing her.
The shadow is way too big to be a playable character, but then the figure comes closely to Samus, and as it does, the shadow shrinks...

That, or just have him abruptly shrink implying that he was under a Super Mushroom.

I was looking at the variations at Pyrosphere and I noticed that the holes remain present in the stage. Don't know what that means but I think that's where the lava comes from.

I would like Ridley because he would make the roster feel complete to me and I really like his design. So if he is not in it won't bother me a whole lot. How bout you guys? IMHO Roidley's arms do look a little silly. they look big and disproportionate to his body, but that's an easy fix.

I countered that with saying Sakurai could use the Other M concept art design. He said they wouldn't use concept art design. I was like...Why not?

Eh, Greninja is alt material for me at best, otherwise none of the other newcomers fall in with my playstyle. The only appeal the game has to me currently is its new gameplay, veteran changes, modes and online play, on the character front I'm not interested in the slightest, which is only natural since the only potential newcomer I'd actually main is Ridley.

I like to main characters I actually have a relation to in their source games, but given that all of my favorite Nintendo characters except Ridley are already in it's a fairly hard task to live up to. There's only ever been one exception to this, and that's Ike, and even then I have begun playing his games since.

Plus, I like simpler movesets, all these wacky characters don't do me any good at all, hence why Greninja is also my favorite of the bunch. Call that close-minded if you will, I call it preference.

when i made my ridley video, i mentioned "A person who dosnt use critikal thinking (or ridley haters in general)" this one guy made a rant comment involving 26 paragraphs. i just read the first sentence and didnt bother with the rest, so i deleted the comment XD
