several of the characters dont talk, and just make either random sounds or animalistic sounds, etc.

The only in-game lines to Ridley's intelligence were his creation of Mecha-Ridley and his leading of the Space Pirates. His ability to speak is implied at least in regards to other space pirates. Though being able to speak has nothing to do with being in Smash Bros.

And I don't know, I always thought "Ridley for SSB4" left something of a clear implication. But maybe that's just me.

It is most certainly not implied. I am not a Ridley detractor in the slightest; however, all other "support" threads are more accurately described as character discussion threads regarding the character's pertinence to Smash and whether or not they might be included in the newest installment. One is most certainly allowed to have a differing opinion (otherwise moderators would hand out infractions to anyone who did not think that the character was likely, that is obviously quite counter-intuitive), albeit most do not waste their time in the thread if they do not support the character as they have better things to do.

Gotta admit, if Ghirahim ends up in the game as a playable character and yet Ridley still doesn't get in, I would be saltier than the Dead Sea.

I mean, of course Metroid would be the only franchise out of the "Trophy Quiz" theory to not get a playable character.

Anywhosen. My gosh that JesseMcCloud fellow (not in attempt to speak of you without your presents, I suspect you still may be around) sure caused an (hopefully) unintentional fuss. It's kinda creepy. They almost remind me of... Me! (not to bother you, Jesse person if I've no right to compare myself to you, just an observation) The way they lay out their points and analyze deeply, the vernacular, the (may or may-not be unintentionally)coy politeness! I'm not sure if you all have I've seen me talk to detractors, but I'm the same way, making sure I never insult or come across hot-headed. They're like the Dark Pit to my Pit (or vice versa to anyone anti-Ridley).

@ JesseMcCloud I wish I was here for the meat of the discussion, but I'll say this. I'm sure while you consider this "evidence" circumstantial, you can understand that the opposite is also circumstantial. While I guess, the passive for you is "Ridley is a boss", I see the passive as, "Ridley is neither playable, nor boss". I see evidence that pushes me more towards playable, because I see "circumstantial" evidence, but no "circumstantial" er... anti-evidence.

Yeah the second is Brawl/Super Metroid sprite. But the last one is based on the lesser known "Ice Rildey" from Ninentoland. I thought it was a fresh idea, and I like it!

I almost never play fan games, I feel for the most part they are overrated and get more respect then is deserved, so I would not really, react to it, heh. More Ridley in games is always good though.

You're right. Next time I am referred to as a delusional child, a brainless troll, an illiterate bag of ****, or other things I frequently hear, I will be sure to show these people utmost respect. After all, they're just being normal by treating people that way. We have no right to be at all negative about how we're treated. We should be GRATEFUL that they aren't somehow being WORSE.

So you know what, yeah. Next time someone is insulting or offensive because you support Ridley, thank them for letting you know how stupid / delusional / what have you you are. They're only trying to be nice and let you know you're wrong. I mean let's be real, you're not actually bothered by being treated negatively. You're just mad because someone disagreed with you. That's the REAL problem at work.

They're in the right. We just need to accept that and get over ourselves. Time to close the thread, guys. We may as well just step out there and take the negativity we've basically deserved.

This is obviously entirely sarcastic but there is literally no way I could actually respond to this and be even remotely pleasant in response to the shenanigans at work here.



In regards to SSF, I honestly have a hard time getting into it. It has playable Ridley but I just do not enjoy how fan smash games control, and that just kind of shuts me off of it.

i particularly like green ridley and red ridley, reminds me of a typical dragon and a large demon.

Andrea, SchAlternate, get on it. Replace Garland with Roidley or something, and Ridley is coaching him on how to give evil, awesome speeches, and he flubs it up.
