Ya, don't get why Sakurai choose Goku as the boss for Pryosphere
That is probably what made me sick...anime characters even being mentioned in the same sentence as Super Smash Bros. -_-

Ugh I don't even know what's going on anymore

I know the lack of news is getting to me when I spiral back into shadow speculation

Shame Shrek is only Ridley's final smash :(
I know Kraid is a bit on the heavy side and not that good looking, but no need to call him Shrek

Though would be funny if Kraid was Ridley's final smash. not sure how they get along

Do you accept our Father Ridley as your lord and savior and promise to follow in his teachings and support him for Smash 4?

His right foot has Pikachu, look at dat lightning bolt. Ridley, as awesome as he may be, does not have lightning bolts anywhere on his body.
Does this mean that Ridley will not have a Harry Potter alternative costume? Bu-but... that is the only reason I support him! Please?!

Totally forgot! I never play dk at all...
seriously? not even once?

i can not imagine playing any game and not playing as every single character ATLEAST once.

honestly, i still can not completely understand the whole "maining" thing people do... because i play as the entire roster, just choosing characters depending on how i am feeling at the moment.

usually, if i play as one character for more than a couple battles in a row... i get extremely bored.

ridley might be the exception to that rule, though...

Hyperbole bro, I've played every character at least 4-5 hours worth.

Kraid is actually a pretty good idea for Ridley's final smash, if they don't go through with it, they should bring Brinstar Depths back from Melee, that music is too good to waste.

Yea, I've played pretty steadily since brawls release.

How cool would it be if kraid was pyro spheres boss?

Ichigo 4 smash!
The rage is real. Sakurai, is not amused. He has sent the NInjas. Or just an assassin. He is a hard one to predict. >_<

Im still hoping for the Brinstar Depths stage to return, but that is a good second option, heh.

I can see that the lack of news really is getting to some...don't worry, I have a bit of a theory.

Many were upset that Ridley wasn't talked about during E3 right? Well in a way, it kind of made sense. The newcomers shown off at the digital direct were directly related to that of the custom movesets and their potential in Smash Bros as it was the big thing Sakurai talked about during said event, hence why Pac-Man was revealed later on and not at the direct, in a way it made sense.

However, Sakurai has not gone into deep detail on the Boss hazards of Smash Bros 4, which I feel will be next month as it's the only opportunity to do so. However, to start the direct, we of course get a confirmation of a character directly correlated to said part of the game...Ridley! Ridley will be shown to be the only character who's both a playable character and boss hazard, along with a full list of boss hazards for Smash Bros 4, who could basically be anyone really. Ganondorf can be announced alongside Ridley to solidify his spot as a hardened boss character in Nintendo History much like Ridley.

Lightning bolt is caused by the stage warping the shadow.

I hope he isn't a boss hazard at all, if the direct footage was anything to judge by. He didn't do anything that was representative of his boss battles in the Metroid series, save for the fact that he was flying. It could've been set up, but the impressions I got from it as a boss were...disappointing.

i dont know much about kraid [or metroid in general], but isnt he absolutely massive?

he took up an entire background in the past... i cant imagine seeing kraid on that stage... unless just his head burst into the stage to... i dunno... roar at us or something.

then again, what do i know? :ohwell:

Aren't ninjas and assassins the same thing more or less?
In action, it depends. In name though one can be a pun(Ninjas, Nintendo), and the other is not. It is all about labels. :p

Does anyone else think that if Kraid became a boss hazard on a stage, and acted like he does in Super Metroid, same size and all, that could be really fun?

Ninjas are more for sabotage or information gathering and usually kill as a last resort. An assassin's primary job is to kill.
I suppose that's true. Most ninjas in popular media tend to focus on the combat aspects anyway. But any good assassin would use stealth to their advantage too.

It'd be interesting to say the least. Hopefully he'll be less annoying than the Yellow Devil.

We have just one Metroid stage yet, we still need at least one more on Wii U and one on 3DS. And maybe Norfair return as a stage. I want Phendrana Drifts so badly...

Because the 3DS stages are usually from portable games, what do you think Ridley's home stage will be (assuming it will be from a portable Metroid, I know there's a chance it won't be)?

One of his Battle Locations? Something from the most recent portable game (if 8 years is considered recent...)?

Phazon would be better IMO, but I can't diss phendrana.

I love seeing the Metroid Prime love, and yeah i agree a phendrana drifts stage would be amazing both cuz of scenery and music, but a phazon mines stage would be so sick cuz it could have space pirates attack you or the elite pirate can be a boss and the eerie spookiness of the mines would translate perfectly into a stage
