Heheheh... It'll take more than a leak to stop the mighty rids. I'm more hyped than I have ever been. Partially because I like robin and Lucina, and partially because Gematsu is dead which means every newcomer, including Ridley and K Rool is fair game.

All I can gather is; "Since Ridley hasn't been revealed at this point, he's not in."

...Despite the fact we seen him(his shadow) in the game already.

I feel so bad for the brain damage people must have undergone to actually use the "If they haven't been revealed yet they will never be playable" logic, since that literally deconfirms everyone from every game.

The 47 character roster combined with Gematsu was killed by Lucina, it doesn't add up anymore. So yeah, that theory is officially dead actually, it's faulty to still believe in it, and 51 is looking the lowest we're going to get, which makes plenty of space for Ridley.

Its fun watching the rise and fall of the Warios faith in Ridley and Gematsu.

I will count 11 from brawl though (assuming only ivy/squirt/snake cut) . that's 47.

Then with the chances of Riddles, Mew2, and others, I could easily see us hitting 51, or even higher if there are more clones.

like bowser, and ganondorf.

Whether or not he is a stage hazard in smash or playable is yet to be seen, though.

ehh. I didn't hear too loud cries for him until gematsu. He was about as requested as takumaru, and Isaac. Decently, but not HUGE. Not Ridley huge anyways

Is he an alt for Lucina or sonething?) newcomers metroid still just Samus. There is no way in hell that sakurai thinks fire emblem deserves 4 reps (5?) and metroid only 2. I still refuse to believe that, without a doubt, Shulk *will* be revealed tomorrow instead of another character getting a possible chance. As already mentioned, Sakurai has indeed mislead us before.

I'm still a little confused why Sakurai DID choose Lucina over Chrom. Don't get me wrong, it was the best thing ever, and I love all of it, but WHY? The best I can think is Sakurai wanted more female characters, and Lucina fits that perfectly.

In Fire Emblem: Awakening, Lucina fights exactly the same as Chrom, which is fairly identical to Marth, and on a whole, Lucina is more popular than Chrom.

I don't think we'll see more cuts on the roster past Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Snake. Everyone else just seems to have a reason for being on the roster compared to a guest and two characters who IMO felt like they were there just to make Charizard cooler.

That's true. Sakurai only closed the door on launch DLC, but did say it may be up for consideration post-release. If the roster gets even bigger through DLC I just dunno what to say. My 51 character roster estimate is starting to feel too low with Lucina now. xD
