Am I the only one here that is absolutely incapable of any artistic productions? I swear 3/4 of the people here have posted some sort of Ridley fanart that they made.Mean neither.
However, this does remind me to say that my painting of Ridley will (probably) finally be finished sometime next week. Can't wait to share it with you all.

I'll be perfectly honest with you, until I met my current art teacher I used to think I didn't have an artist bone in my body. But she was able to show me how to do things in a way I understood. In fact I think the main reason why I got better is because she let me pick the subject. Most ark classes make everyone paint the same thing, but the class I'm in is completely free form, so I can choose whatever picture I want, like Ridley.Am I the only one here that is absolutely incapable of any artistic productions? All the talk about cookies and coffee has made me think of Ridley as a Personal Trainer for the Space Pirates because of his physique, does that count?
We added a rule (eating cookies and drinking cofee is not allowedd) to make sure everyone will archieve Ridley or Roidley`s body...sounds like a broken english to me for some reasons.

I hope that Megaman really have an alt because that was pretty mean, if he don't and it was just a way for Sakurai to laugh at the hopes of Megaman fans then I fear for Ridley that Sakurai is just laughing at us too =/
I wouldn't be surprised if the tone came from the translation, I doubt he intended it to sound that way.
In that case someone should always double check the post after grammaticaly correcting it so that false hope doesn't occur
Really I seriously doubt that they were going to have alternates to other megaman considering how very different there body types are. So to me hoping for a different costume like that, is kinda reaching, something like protoman would be more probable.
As I said, it doesn't translate directly, meaning that you can't keep the same grammar during translation, it wouldn't make sense.

But who? Proto man? His scarf would require extra work like rigging it to at least move. Elec/Whatever robot master? That would make no sense since they have different abilities and in few cases different proportions. Any kind of other incarnation of Mega Man or Zero? Well, maybe Zero, but other incarnations of Mega Man are shown already during his Final Smash.

I meant that they look at it and correct the sentence so that if it doesn't translate well, that they could say something that would be understandable and still show what we needed to know
I know. But you gotta remember, the guy that they hire as a translator probably doesn't have much to do with games. Sometimes, a slight change in wording can mean a lot to a dedicated fan, but nothing to a translator. We really don't know the full story.
...that?! Well...it requires only adding his hair with maybe few extra bones (if they move somehow)...so...it is easy to add.

Pretty sure this is one of the larges threads on the boards. Mainly because we kept having to restart the damn thing pre brawl. It was so much spammier back then. but I digress.
Mmhmm. Sakurai has changed his mind on a lot of things since brawl. Things that weren't considered back then have their slates wiped clean this time around.
Looking at the number of view on this thread at some particular moments I think people just like to see the massacre that is a too biggot trying to convince us that Ridley will never be playable, it's like watching a bird flying only to see it crash in a window, horrible, stupid but still funny as hell in it's own way.

As someone who's seen birds fly into windows multiple times, even at one point had one die in his hands after a collision, I don't find such a fact funny whatsoever.
Perhaps the more operative phrase would have been, "funnier than a miscarriage." I doubt you have ever held a miscarriage, so it is much more funny that way! However, this is the Ridley thread, so I suppose we should change the example to Ridley flying into a window.
