I hope to see a pichu at genesis 2 ******. After seeing Yung link beat hbox, i know its possible for all the low tiers
This is really bad logic. Ultimately, that matchup is actually in Young Link's favor, and Young Link is a pretty versatile character. Pichu, however, has very few options. Yes, it's possible. Anything is possible in this amazing game. However, it's much, much harder with Pichu.

I figure since I'm going to be maining Pichu now, I should start to get to know the Pichu boards.

P.M. me if you ever want to know something. Also the pichu boards make me sad : ( I'll be sure to have a video loaded sometime just hard recently.

Also puff isn't too bad for pichu puff is in a disadvanage if above of decently below pichu.

It would be great if someone would do something similar to this - http://allisbrawl.com/forum/topic.aspx?id=75146&page=1

He goes into great details of idea's, theory's, and practices that help improve your gameplay.

I'll test some of what you've said monday, im too tired to do it right now, and great work. Im going to try to make a guide based on my studies of the U-Air, but not until i gather all the info on this board, and tested, and theorize some tactics on it's uses. I discuss it with you when im done.

There are many ways Pichu's U-air can be used, juggling of course is the most obvious, but i believe each of Pichu's aerials have a lot of hidden potential. I'm starting with U-air because it can be use more then for just juggling if used a bit differently. I don't want to get into this now, i rather wait until i finished studying it in many different ways.

Woo! didn't make it out of pools at the tourney I was at ^^

but I do feel like it made me learn to play allot better ^^
there ought to be like.... one really ****y match of me playing a friendly with one of my friends on their livestream, I'll post the link when I get it if anybody can help point out problems (but we got kicked off near the end because they needed the TV, so i quit out of the match)

mostly its just that I need help approaching and have trouble against n00by playstyles...
the match is really allot worse than I normally play though :(

I've been trying to dash in and dash out right before they attack and then punish them for it, but its pretty hard for me. Also when i'm comboing them I mess up allot because I expect them to tech something thats an easy tech and go
To the most logical place for them to roll to to predict them, but they just fall down.

What is your favorite sort of combo thing to do to people as pichu?

I really like to upthrow to uair to fair to down throw to upsmash to thunder.

I also really like to go to pkmn stadium and get people against the wall in the pit and jab them and get them to like 400% or something than nair them.

Yea i do that too, but i'm actually pretty bad at it and can only do it like a few times, i should probably work on it since it seems to get percent well.

Oh i do it when im at low percent and at killing percent i try more to do quick unpunishable combos into usmash of fsmash

Also, how well would fair to dsmash work? I always to it to grab or a tilt or sometimes usmash when they are bad, but the can avoid the smash allot so how would dsmash work? I've only done it on bots so far.

I don't think it is possible to true combo from Fair.

The auto-cancel frames occur too long after the last hit-box, and the L-cancelled landing lag is 7 frames if I remember correctly.

I generally just try and space it so I hit with the tip, and then I can combo into an up tilt just by out-ranging shine/jab. Though spot-dodging beats this, so it requires mind-games.

Yea thats pretty much what I do too, but if it finishes in the air would you be able to do a true combo out of it?

Guys.

You should feel happy.

MU-wise, Melee Pichu is a better character than Brawl Ganondorf.

melee pichu is a better character than just about everyone in brawl.

also, out of boredom and in an attempt to start a discussion, what are your mindgames with pichu?
I also need a little bit of help with marths (the campy kind, not the skillful ones; they are easy). I've started to dash up to them then just outside their f-smash range I up-B above them then down behind them and they miss their f-smash and stuff, but I don't want to be predictable so what else do you recommend that I do?

I just wave-dance and dash-dance a lot.

SH > retreating wave-dash > dash dance > grab is pretty bread and butter for me when I play.

I use Agility for tech-chasing more often than mind-games...
