Royce da 5'9, Juel Ortiz, Joe Budden, and Crooked L all make up the group Slaughterhouse who i will probably be moving to masters during the next update.

Cassidy is good with metaphors and punchlines but sometimes i feel he's lacking in real lyrics. It's like Metaphor > punchline > punchline > metaphor > punchline.

when he's lookin for a suit and tie rap that's cleaner than a bar of soap
If everybody talked about the same thing hip hop would be dead as michael jackson.....and it is lol

You need to listen to some real hip hop before you criticize somebody like a lupe fiasco bruh...but hey...your opinion lol

Flocka is terrible, we dont ****s wit his likes around here.

So icy affiliated = no. Although he's not LOL tier or Soulja boy, after listening to some of gucci mane's song I can say neither is he.
They're both just average rappers, with great beats backing them.

hold up. average rappers? that's a compliment to them. they all suck; guccie can't rap, waka can't rap, soulja boy can't rap. and the beats aren't great : ). they're amped and hyped, but this producer dude i know told me it literally only takes like 10 minutes to make beats like those.

I feel that they're hella overhyped *duh?*, but after listening to a lot *I MEAN A LOT* of their music I can say that they're not as bad as people think they are *they're NOT GOOD BY ANY MEANSS*.

I guess I could try and post some songs.

Gucci Mane-Hurry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQIZjadG4bg
The beat is clean, his flow is alright, and lyrically this is one of his better songs.

Gucci Mane-Dope Boys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaH-6NCaSP4
Idk what to say about this one, It's cleannn x.x;;

Soulja Boy-What They Know- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ncfIQHzh90&feature=channel
Yes yes we all know rapping fast =/= rapping good, but the lyrics are pretty good *for soulja boy mind you* although the chorus is terrible.

Waka Flocka Flame
I actually have no good songs for him, *maybe he is worse than I thought* I'm sure i'll find something that's half decent from him though. But for now all we got is OH LETS DO IT. lol

Also after listening to Blu and Exile's album, I'd say he's arguably legend tier.

@Teh Albino:
First not to be picky but it is Blu not Blue lol (he actually addresses this in one of his songs from Below the Heavens...""I don't pack stadiums yet, I still rock em/ and they still spell my name ****ed up on they flyers, it's B-L-U/ and if you see the E, drop em/ ")

but also yes he is very good but wow he is not legend tier yet, he needs to put out a lot more material before he gets to that. None of his albums are really classics though.
Exile does produce pretty relaxing/soulful beats.

lol one of his songs is actually where i got my tag from : ). aye yo, below the heavens is a classic >_>......his other albums are straight *** though lol. but his So(ul) Amazin mixtapes are pretty good.

I don't really have a problem with any of these snap music rappers. it's just irritating that they can't rap. doesn't really bother me as to what they rap about though. it seems like all these dudes got tourette's syndrome. ALL of them just seem to keep screaming out random ****. gucci has BURRR. waka has FLOCKAAA and soulja boy has that YOUUUUU ****.

Silly mods lol.
Hey guys, check out Waka Flocka Flame. He is pretty legit.
He reps riverdale,georgia.
"Southside Anthem"

"O Lets Do it"

ROFL,Flame is a ****ing joke. Sorry but the south has put out some pretty terrible rappers recently, can't even call them emcees. Gucci Maine, Flame,Yo Gotti, all come to mind. The only good part of(some) their songs is the beats which do work well when freestyled over by good emcees.

^^Bangladesh beat with Bun B=Gold.

Bun B has been putting out a lot of hot **** recently, as well as the independent members of slaughterhouse(especially Joe Budden).

The biggest up and comer is Drake, his skill is unbelievable really. People listen to "best I ever had" and immediately decide that he's pop rap, when in fact the majority of his work is really really excellent lyricism and flow.

I highly suggest anyone download the mixtape Comeback Season. That album is, in my opinion, 5 stars.

Been mixing beats, mad this one recently, tell me what you think. It's kinda Jermaine Dupri inspired lol.

Drake is a much better lyricist than the average rap fan seems to give him credit for.
@Blu3r: showing three examples of lackluster lines isn't a good argument, especially when a good amount of his songs have sick lines in them.

But honestly no one even comes close to being as good of a lyricist as lupe fiasco is, it's actually becoming insane how much better he is than everyone out right now.

quote some sick lines then -___- he is NOT a lyricist. i wish people wouldn't throw that word around so easily. his wordplay is too average and his punchlines are boring and too easy to think of. he's only above average because what's currently being played on the radio is complete trash.

i've heard better than lupe. people tend to overrate him. i'm not saying he's bad. he's better than a ****LOAD of other rappers. but people haven't heard of better because they aren't looking hard enough -__-
he is a lyricist though. his wordplay, vocabulary, and flow are pretty amazing. i'm just sayin. i've heard better.

Yeah they're pretty bad, beats are legit though.
Joey is gonna take over 2010 though, I'm hella anticipating his album too ;D
Drake is an interesting case. He manages to be the line between bubble gum pop rap garbage and a legit emcee. Some songs he chooses to be extra lyrical and others he chooses to rap with weak *** metaphor after weak *** metaphor.

Lupe is in fact a mutha ****in beast lol. I was sad when I heard "Friend of the People" got cancelled, but LASERS is going to be amazing =]
