Pretty much Scout you with Protect and then OHKO with EQ after taking a Hit and surviving through Focus Sash.

I like to use this little guy to counter Non-Flying/Non-levitate pokemon who are weak to Crunch and EQ.

Actually, thats not a counter for two reasons. One, counters are switching in to ANY moves which means you could be switching into HP Ice. Second, I think using Focus Sash is illegal in the counter game >.>

Ok, this set is interesting because you'd switch in and burn yourself, meaning you'd lower your own attack stat. That burn doesn't go away if you fling >_>

Agility all you want, Vacuum Wave has priority. Your stab move is worthless and Grass Knot does next to nothing.

Dry Skin leaves you vulnerable to fire. Flareon has enough base sp.def to survive any of your attacks. Natural Gift activates Salac Berry and gives me a 80 base attack physical fighting move. My total speed after a Salac boost makes me faster than +natured base 100s. NG+SB is unresisted, Fire and Grass make good coverage.

Even with Sunny Day you do a max 34% with Fire Blast, and Calm Mind will quickly lower that to nothing. HP Rock hits your weak point for massive damage.

Three things: First, yes Skarmory works. Second, we're sort of shying away from OU's so when you counter next try and stay in the BL/UU(especially UU just cus its sexy) Third(and this is the most important) SHAYMIN IS NOT A COUNTER. It's only physical move is Natural Gift, so Swords Dance is mostly meaningless. If you had at least put return on it it could actually do something >_>

Only if you state which move your using. If you use a Choice Item in the counter game you have to actually say which move your using. Also, if you would read the rules in the first post, your not actually allowed to use moves that KO yourself or moves like U-Turn and Baton Pass(Hence the annoyance with Jolteon)

Close.....Regigigas would actually be so much better if it could actually learn protect. Unfortunately it can't. Luckily that counter still works even without Protect but I suggest you edit in a different move.

Immune to your attacking moves. Curse to afflict you, then Pain Splits back to full hp. Protect to stall. These moves also prevent the next counter from setting up on me (to make the next counter easier... I guess?). Somebody dragon rage me.

EDIT: It kinda sucks now that we have what? 4 failed counters?

Curses up my Defense to match your Attack increases, while also increasing my own defense. Brick Break and Shadow Sneak offer great type coverage. Toxic is always useful in the counter game.

Isn't Ice Shard super effective on Parasect? Even if you can survive 2 hits from Ice Shard, X-scissor is not very effective, and Brick Break doesn't affect Froslass.

2) Remember what a counter is: A Pokemon that can safely switch into any of the attacks from the Pokemon it wants to counter and can immediately pose a threat to the Pokemon it wants to counter or make the Pokemon it wants to counter switch-out while not being threatened in any way by the Pokemon it wants to counter.

The only thing you really have going for you is Spore, from then on, it's all luck to see when Froslass would wake up. Besides, how much damage would you do with X-Scissor?

Hate to break it to ya, but that wont work. If you come in on Substitute and I were to Nasty Plot as it breaks, I'd OHKO you and you'd fail to OHKO me. Even without it, I 2HKO you so if you just came in on Shadow Ball you'd lose.
