I don't know the necessary Spd EV's to outspeed your Machamp...
Watch the magic...

Hariyama @ Coba Berry
Impish
Thick Fat
252 HP/252 def/6 atk

~Earthquake
~Close Combat
~Stone Edge
~Fire Punch

Coba Berry Reduces Flying type damage so I should be safe of the switchin. Bullet Punch does considerable damage I believe. STABed Brick Break, I believe, should OHKO Weavile. Thick Fat reduces the damage of Ice Punch.
Quotes are the pwnage :).

Just for fun. Sets up Light Screen as you Protect against nothing. Trick Room to turn your ability upside-down. Power Tricks and sweeps.

Nice! @ Claydol:

Shuckle @ Leftovers
Brave Nature
EVs: 252 HP/252 Defense/6 Special Defense
Ability: Sturdy
-Encore
-Power Trick
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
Hah, Encores your Light Screen or Trick Room or even Power Trick then proceeds to pop a Power Trick of his own, turning his 230 base Defense into Attack and squishes you with Stone Edge.

@Shuckle: Haha, I knew it. Encore was inevitable...

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Pressure/Adamant
252atk/252spd/6hp
-Taunt
-Rock Slide
-Earthquake
-Ice Fang

Taunt to cripple and laughs as you try to sweep with Stone Edge, whose low PP is cut by Pressure. Focus Sash isn't needed, I can survive all you Stone Edges, if you even survive that long. Sweep with Rock Slide.

Wait, a Yanmega can switch in on a Fire Punch? Since when is that?

@ ILoveCelebi!!2008: It's because when Yanmega switches in, the Hariyama wouldn't use Fire Punch on the Blaziken. It would most likely use Earthquake, which Yanmega is immune to. He would Protect on your next attack then sweep. Stone Edge would OHKO Yanmega as well. Your Coba Berry might let you survive his Air Slash though, unless you flinch. But Yanmega can indefinetly learn Psychic. Let's pretend he squeezed that attack in there somehow :)

Besides, my posts about a counter that wouldn't work were ignored on the previous page. :/

SubSeeds, comes in on anything. If you try to Taunt, Blizzard+Hail spells your doom. Only threat is Rock Slide, which I can handle fairly well with my high HP.

@Platypus: Whoa... no idea what your description says. But I get the point by looking at your moveset. Jolly raises Speed and drops Sp.Attack by the way... you should use Modest or Timid, preferably Modest. If you're having trouble with Natures, just use this format: (+Attack,-Speed) or something like that.

@Tentacruel:

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Inner Focus/Adamant
252atk/252HP/6spe
-Outrage
-Thunderpunch
-Brick Break
-Earthquake

Covers anything that can use BoltBeam. ***** with TPunch. Outrage for everything else.

I'm not so sure (again) but Fros outspeeds you and 1HKO's with Ice Beam.

Donphan @ Choice Band
Ability: Sturdy
Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 HP/252 Attack/6 Defense
-Ice Shard
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Fire Fang

Should survive anything on the switch-in and then OHKO you with Ice Shard. The rather bulky setup is offset by the priority boost from Ice Shard, allowing Donphan to quickly cool down your hot tempered Dragonite.

@ Kips' last post on the previous page: Donphan cannot defeat Dragonite in one hit with Ice Shard without Choice Band, especially with my 252HP EV investment. You get walked all over by Outrage*STAB*Life Orb despite your EV investment.

@Terrywj: Strange double post there... I can't quite tell whom you're countering. If you're countering me, I can tell you right away that Swampert can perform the same set as your first Gastrodon, only better. Your second Gastrodon is no different than your first one except with Recover over Earthquake. You could walk all over Kips' Donphan, but not my Dragonite.

I do believe my Dragonite still stands.

Let me pop a choice band on him and then Gastrodon will be the newest counter. As for Swampert, he doesn't get Recover and the whole point of this game is to innovate, not to rehash the same uber powerful pokemon over and over.

At Gastrodon:
Grumpig @ Leftovers
(+Special Defense, - Attack)
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP/152 Special Defense/100 Special Attack/6 Speed
-Psychic
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Grass Knot

Sorry about my d-post.

Honchkrow @ Lefties
Adamant/Super Luck
252 Atk/252 Spd/6 HP
~Taunt
~Roost
~Night Slash
~Aerial Ace
Fair is fair, posted first.

Toxicroak @ Coba Berry
(+Special Attack, - Attack)
Ability: Dry Skin
100 Speed/252 Special Attack/6 HP/152 Defense
-Vacuum Wave
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Dark Pulse
-Nasty Plot
Has 4x resistance to Night Slash and the Coba berry with my unusually bulky stats should provide the defense necessary for a switch-in, Nasty Plot, Vacuum Wave. Vacuum Wave, from STAB should be 60 Power+Nasty Plot boost, an OHKO vs. your pitiful Special Defense.

Yanma @ Focus Sash

~Protect

I'm not sure if this works or not but, Focus Sash for the switch in, Endure to make meta take 10% from life orb, protect to reset, and Endure again. Endure and protect have 10 PP; 10% X 10 = 100%, KOing meta. I only put two moves to make it easy to counter (if it is allowed).

Assuming it is allowed-

Tangrowth @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 Attack/252 Defense/6 HP
(+Speed, -Special Defense)
Ability: Chlorophyll
-Rock Slide
-Power Whip
-Substitute
-Focus Punch

Ouch! One Ember and I'm toast, but I can definitely substitute and then wait for you to run out of PP.

@ Tangrowth

Magmortar @ Focus Sash
Flame Body/Mild
192sp.atk/64atk/252spe
-Cross Chop
-Flamethrower
-Thunderbolt
-HP (Ice)

Flame body provides a chance to burn you if you use a physical attack. Breaks your sub if you use it, then sweep next turn. Survives with Focus Sash if you use an attacking move (I probably don't even need it).

Absorbs Thunderbolt, resists HP [Ice] and Flamethrower. Cross Chop can't beat my large HP and Resttalking thanks to the fact that you have much less attack then special attack, and you'll run out of PP before I Surf you down into dust.

Vs. Lanturn:
Quagsire w/Metronome
Calm/Water Absorb
252 Atk./ 252 Sp. Def./ 6 HP
+ Water Pulse
+ Mud-Slap
+ Yawn
+ HP Fire

Yawn forces sleep without recovery, which gets me several Mud-Slaps.
I love the random stuff Platypus puts out there--it's very entertaining :chuckle: Anyway...

Mantine @ Shell Bell
Modest / Swift Swim
EVs - 252 SpAt, 6 SpDf, 252 Spd
~Surf
~Ice Beam
~Hidden Power [Electric]
~Rain Dance

And now another Poke from me! :chuckle: See you guys later!

Against the Mantine:

Magnezone w/ Magnet
Quirky/ Magnet Pull
255 Sp. Atk/ 255 Sp. Def.
+ Thunder
+ Magnet Rise
+ HP Ice
+ Protect
Perfect Thunder!
Hippowdon @ Yache Berry
Jolly (+speed - sp. atk)
Sand Stream
252 HP/200 sp. def/56 speed
~Earthquake
~Ice Fang
~Slack Off
~Fire Fang

Yache berry weakens HP [Ice] for the switchin. Thunder's useless. 0 atk EVs already OHKO with EQ assuming no magnet rise. Fire Fang for Magnet Rise. 56 speed EVs plus Jolly outspeeds 0 EV magnezone. 200 EVs in sp. def to resist the HP [Ice] even more. Slack off the HP [Ice] damage. Ice Fang for coverage.

Vs. Hippowdon:

Jumpluff w/ Life Orb
Hasty/ Leaf Guard
252 Sp. Atk./ 200 Sp. Def./ 56 Speed (faster)
+ Encore
+ Sunny Day
+ Aerial Ace
+ Giga Drain

She outspeeds on the switch-in and, Encoring your Earthquake, proceeds to shine through the sand and Drain until you die.
Froslass @ Choice Band
Snow Cloak
Adamant (+atk - sp. atk)
252 atk/252 HP/6 sp. def
~Ice Shard
~Crunch
~Wake-up Slap
~Ice Fang

You left your defenses open with Hasty nature. Encore on choice band is lol. Sunny Day makes no difference. The way I invested my EVs ensures a 2HKO with Crunch and a OHKO with a choice banded Ice Shard or Ice Fang. Also, a weak pokemon like jumpluff barely leaves a scratch with giga drain my EV distribution, even with a life orb. Same for aerial ace but without the 252 EVs. Wake-up Slap for filler.

Earthquake
Zen Headbutt
Hammer Arm
Charizard @ Choice Specs
Modest (+sp. atk - atk)
252 HP/240 Def/16 speed
~Overheat
~Flamethrower
~Dragon Pulse
~HP [Electric]

With this EV distribution, I should only take about 50% from Zen Headbutt, the only real threatening move. All other moves are resisted and/or immune. With 16 EVs in speed, Charizard outspeeds Metagross and OHKOs with 0 EV, Choice Specs, Overheat. Flamethrower for late game battling when overheat's PP fails. Other moves are filler

Much to my ire, I cannot remember if this was posted or not. However, it happens to be excellent against your Charizard as it comes in with 230 base special defense and laughs as you throw foam balls that you call attacks against it. It then Power Tricks , as you have 0 physical moves and proceeds to do a 4x Effective Rock Slide to kill you.

So you used Power Trick while I swapped in? Well, Trapinch outspeeds you (LOL) and ***** your newly neglected defense with Rock Slide. So you decided to play a stall game instead? Toxic + Rest counters that. And your attack set won't do a thing.

And for what its worth, I Arena Trapped you.
