Hey guys, I've been taking a small break from SWF but I'm needing your help. As the DS Wifi is soon to shut down, I'm needing to make sure I have everything I need on the DS titles before it's gone for good. The only thing I have left to get is on SoulSilver- I still haven't gotten a spiky eared Pichu and I need to borrow the event Pichu (or Pika/Rai if you evolved it) so that I can activate this last event. I might be able to help. I would have to test to see if Gen IV can connect through tethering Wi-Fi on my phone though since my home connection is no longer WEP. What time would be good for you?

Ah, this is true, I forgot it requires WEP. I'll need to get into my internet settings to change it, but I hope it has a WEP option (upgraded to Uverse recently). Will you be available later tonight?

Edit: So I tried testing to see if my phone can do WEP Wi-Fi...it can't. I won't be able to mess with my house's Wi-Fi because there are 8 people in my house currently using it and because I don't know how. Sorry, I can't really help unless I find out there's a public Wi-Fi hotspot that is WEP. :/

It's funny cuz' I was actually making my second team off of a doubles mindset then called for a single battle, XD.

I'm also aware of the fact that I will be extremely annoyed if I teach all my pokes Protect then have to reteach them their moves.

Had done some adjustments to my team make scrafty more bulky and switch some moves around and changed a few abilities. Still haven't beaten that team yet lol. On the first full match I accidentally hit a without going to aegislash for a flamethrower and used it on rotom

ggs @ ImaClubYou that first match was tense. Status effects for every pokemon lol. after those battles it seemed to me that my gyarados was only good for two things Intimidate and T-wave which i'm currently going to try and fix..

Intimidate Para is legit. There were 3 cases during that first match when I could've straight up lost. Both of us were choking the entire game, haha. I was so tense I didn't even bother making reads.

I do notice that my Latias is an answer to a lot of your Pokes' tho. After Scrafty and Gougeist is gone my Latias could come out for free almost all the time unless your Sylveon got to set up.

If you had some Latias answers I would've probably lost.

ggs @ ImaClubYou i've been having communication problems for some reason on the battle spot for the competition and some problems with some of the pokemon that people have been using that i'm kinda hoping gets banned (looks at a certain blue cat). this team seems to be a bit explosive lol also meant to use protect on sylveon not swift

But I went for Ice Shard on Cloyster predicting Protect from your Manectric.. Then I would've used Explosion after. Oh well, haha.

But even if I did predict right I would've lost because in 1v1 situations the one who used Explosion loses.

What was cloyster's speed? I wasn't sure if cloyster could have matched m manectric's max speed with a +2 from shell smash. (M-manectric has 205)

Here was a battle I had recently ESAG-WWWW-WWW7-EYUD I threw facade on Mamoswine because I had nothing else to add, and this is one of the many battles where it really paid off!

Hmm, I thought Mamo was a 4 move syndrome type of Pokemon. Interesting.

Mamoswine has a lot of useful moves like Thrash, EQ, Stealth Rock, Ice shard, Icicle Crash, Stone Edge, Double Edge, Rock Slide, and more. I just use him as a scarfed flinch hax Pokemon with Rock Slide and Icicle Crash as his main moves. I'm thinking of getting a new one with Freeze dry instead of Icicle Crash, but I'm not sure if the super effective against water is worth less damage being dealt. Plus, instead of 30% of flinch, it is a 10% to freeze which is very unlikely, but useful when it happens.

Ggs @ IsmaR . Did you run out of hyper voices at the end of the first battle? i had only swift and one wish remaining. I gave my sylveon swift because hyper voice isn't allowed in vgc and was the next best multi hit move.

That Miltank is pretty easy if you did the in-game trade for Machop or focused on its weaker defense...or you over-trained. I don't even remember if I had trouble against it as a kid, but I didn't really have trouble during the remakes...

I didn't, still had 5~ish left. However I figured I had a better chance of winning a stall war, which I would have if not for the Sp. Def drops from Shadow Ball. Regardless I had fun that and the other match. GGs

It wasn't much of a problem going against it when I only focused on training my Typhlosion. I don't think I ever found a person willing to trade machop to trade, which would have been helpful. I did have trouble when I wanted to train a whole team instead of one.

There's an ingame trade for a Machop in Goldenrod City, so you could trade a Drowzee for one right before the gym. Drowzee is found on the route before it too.
