EDIT: Does anyone know a good nickname for a Charizard Y? All I have right now is Sun God, but I plan on changing the name.

You might want to think a bit about that nickname; Part of Charizard's advantage is the fact that it has 2 megas to choose from, so having something like "Sun God" kind of destroys that advantage. Stick to something subtle imo.

Also, would you happen to have access to a Dewgong Safari? I'm extremely interested in an Ice Body Dewgong right now.

I'm boring and named my in-game one Ridley. If I were to ever breed/use one, I'd probably name it Myrrh.

Wonderlocke is about to reach its end. Have a pair of Gengar/Azumarill/Gourgeist (one Small, one Super Size), and had 3 Eevee.

Have to admit, I was baffled how you ended up with 3 Ghost-types and just happened to be evolving a Super Size Pumpkaboo as I was. Happy to help all the same.

That wasn't even the weirdest thing. I didn't get a single filler/early route trading fodder 'mon until after fighting/beating Team Flare, and even then they were bred/Lv. 1 rather than actual wild ones. Also wound up with 3 starters (Treecko/Charmander/Snivy) and a Phione.

I'm still pretty much short a Charizardite X on my end. Without it, my Dragon Dance Charizard is pretty much useless.

It's just very disturbing to know that the special Charizard event is Japan-exclusive only.

The charizard is for spot battles, so the nickname won't appear. I still like to have nicknames on all of my Pokemon though. Sadly, I couldn't name my Chesnaught "Spike" for some reason, so I just went with Chestnut. Also, I believe I do have a dewgong in one of my safaris. If I get one with Ice Body, I'll let you know.

EDIT: I caught one with its HA now. It was the first one I saw. That never happened to me before

No problem @ Respectre . @ Mario & Sonic Guy I did not know it was a japanese only event. Now I'm a little disappointed, but I already have both mega stones, so it doesn't affect me that much (I just wanted another one just in case I lost one).

@ BaPr : At least you've been pretty fortunate. It's annoying to know that you have to trade to get version-exclusive mega stones, especially considering that you can't use Pokemon Bank to transfer items to a different copy of Pokemon X/Y.

I gave all of my version exclusive mega stones to my friend and used Pokebank to transfer all the Pokemon I cared about (I probably should have brought all of them, since it would have been really helpful on the pokedex). After that, I just traded random pokemon to get my mega stones back and traded the extra mega stones for other version exclusive mega stones. I had this one friend who gave me Charizardite Y for free, so I let my friend keep charizardite X.

People will also do anything for shiny Pokemon, so if you had a shiny Pokemon that you don't care about, you could use shoutout to offer a shiny for charizardite X. That's what I did for mewtwo Y.

It's too bad that I've pretty much taken out every shiny that I've seen in my Y version.

Also, from what I understand, the GTS really isn't the best way to get mega stones, since I did offer a Heracross for a Pinsir, with a message asking for a Pinsirite. In the end, I got the Pinsir, but not its mega stone.

I don't think you can trade mega stones on GTS. I could ask my friend if he needs the charizardite X. If not, I could give it to you.

It's possible to receive one, just not put them up with any Mega Stones (they go back to your bag). Most people are very stingy.

So I made it to the Elite Four with barely enough left to make a team. Lost just one short of a dozen (including my "starter" replacement Gothitelle, who was the very last victim) throughout the journey from Snowbelle. Grinding became a hassle while raising so many (and not using EXP Share/boosting items), so I guess I had it coming. My Wonderlocke final team going is as follows:

Umbreon (2nd) - Lv. 56 @ Relaxed : Obtained at Lv. 1 on Route 9.

Sylveon (French) (3rd) - Lv. 56 @ Rash : Obtained at Lv. 1 on Route 12.

Aggron (Japanese) - Lv. 57 @ Careful : Obtained at Lv. 44 in Ambrette Town.

Gengar (2nd) - Lv. 57 @ Timid : Obtained at Lv. 1 in Pokémon Village.

Sceptile (Japanese) - Lv. 57 @ Calm : Obtained at Lv. 1 in Connecting Cave.

Pyroar (Japanese) (2nd) - Lv. 57 @ Calm : Obtained at Lv. 6 on Route 21.

I don't think you can trade mega stones on GTS. I could ask my friend if he needs the charizardite X. If not, I could give it to you.

I guess it all depends on if your friend is really stingy about parting ways with any mega stones. Strangely, at this point, I've only seen Y version owners plan on restarting their game, while I've seen nothing of the sort for the X version owners.

I used my friend's 3DS to play Pokemon when my died, and now I have almost no friends on my list. It wouldn't be much of a problem if I could still access the third slot in their friend safaris.

I do have a Rotom with me already, but it's the Frost Rotom, instead of the Wash Rotom; it's stored away in my Pokemon Bank account.

Oh. Well at least you have a shiny one (unless the other one is also shiny). Not sure, but the Rotom I gave was also Kalos born, so you can use it in special battles.

EDIT: If anyone is interested, I have shiny Talonflame, Noivern, Milotic, Goodra, charizard (for Y stone), and Togekiss. I can give 1 away to each person that wants one. The should all have 5-6IV's and a good nature.

No problem. I'm not really into shiny Pokemon either. I will use one if it had perfect stats and I can nickname it (all of my Pokemon need a nickname). That's why I'm giving away my shinies and I'm gonna give my shiny Latios to my friend tomorrow if he wants it.

I stopped nicknaming my Pokemon after the 3rd generation. This is due to the fact that CPU trainers no longer nickname their Pokemon in any of the 3D Pokemon titles. Interestingly, your Pokemon's nickname actually affected its coloring in the Stadium titles.

I never really nicknamed Pokemon except in Sapphire when I decided to make a team based on a fan fic I read...I only started nicknaming this gen on leftovers I plan on wonder trading...plus some Ampharos.
