I think Snake and Sonic are both unlockable along with some of the characters already shown, which ones i dont know. Melee has 21 characters and we have seen close to that. Some of these hafe to be unlockable, just dont know which ones.

there were 25 characters in melee.

I say any other newcomers not yet announced will be unlockable and thus only announced after the game comes out in Japan.

However, one character we can expect to be updated soon is Sheik, since I believe she will remain a transformation. The fact that Zelda's special moves and final smash aren't revealed yet help support this.

mewtwo would be unlockable... and sakurai loves to play with our minds (shiek is what he wants us to think, and he wont tell us cause he wants us to speculate some more till he tells us)

Doesn't mean they still have to look crappy. xD I mean, it would make sense for the stages to be the same for nostalgic reasons, but the Pokemon? Sheesh.

I think Sakurai is using filler to flesh out the delayed time and still have interesting updates sporadically.
I'm betting maybe though a special moves update. We haven't seen quite a few of those.
