I don't think they're going to release any more Vets, because the vets they have right now all have a trait in common. They've never needed to be unlocked, ever. Capt. Falcon and Ness needed to be unlocked in Smash64, and they're the only two out of the starting line-up from Melee who haven't been revealed yet. This pattern makes me think they've finished announcing Vets.

Oh hey, that's a good point. I always used to argue we won't see the original 4 unlockables because they were just that - unloackable. But you're right...NONE of the unlockables from either game have been revealed. Very interesting. Gonna talk about this in my blog, methinks.

I've kind of gotten bored with guessing updates. If I constantly expect terrible updates like items, I'm always surprised and pleased.

It would be a good point, but you're just plain fooling yourself if you believe that every newcomer we've seen is going to be in the starting roster. We know for a fact Snake and Sonic will be unlockable, and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if more were.
