No wonder there's so many crappy updatesThey're saving megaman to announce when they next delay the game

the sad thing is you're prolly rightThey're saving megaman to announce when they next delay the game
I was thinking it'd be cool if he gains their B-up attack if he KO'd a character off the top of the stagekilroy said:he should acquire a new, replaceable attack (like kirby) every time he kills an opponent.
Originally it did have Roll.EXE and even Roll Casket, but I thought one Roll was enough. Now I feel lousy for excluding them All right then, THIS was my original roster for Scramble Battle:That roster looks great to me, save that I'd personally add Roll to the Battle Network crew (I don't think they all have .Exe after their names, I'm pretty sure thats just Mega Man). Shes a pretty prominent character in that series, and pretty much Mega Man's girlfriend to boot. I'd even put her in above the BN Bass actually, since he was a bit of a fringe character in that series (although I am speaking only of the first two games, I didn't play 3+, so maybe he became more prominent after 2).
And yeah, a game like that is a once in a lifetime opportunity that way. I'd look forward to pitting classic Bass versus Zero, personally - Dr Wiley's two greatest creations finally having the chance to duke it out. Although just the chance to destroy everything from the recent games with classic Proto Man would be enough to make me buy the game regardless .
Zevox
The final boss of the first Megaman Legends.Megaman Juno?? Who's that?
Restated and updated with more robot master goodnessI'm loving all of the ideas for a possible roster if Scramble Battle comes to be, so let me throw out my own roster: (Borrowed from and earlier post & added on to)

Ones marked with a star can be easily swapped or removed, but this would be a great roster, dont'cha think?
EDIT - I have a sweet spot for the Beast Crosses from Battle Network... how would that be in terms of a final strike type move for Megaman.EXE?
I disagree. Simply the fact that Ryu is the staple of the Street Fighter franchise; he has already been in a great deal of fighting games already. I would prefer to see non-fighting game characters jump into this genre, simply because it's a chance to see all of their trademark moves and techniques in action outside of their original genre.sorry to say, but i am having a lot of trouble between megaman and Ryu
Ryu would be so cool to have in the game, finally an actual 2d fighter character
2d fighters started this game off, if it wasn't for them, sakurai wouldn't even have thought this game up
I like megaman, but I see ryu as a good character also
I dont know if I can say that, I wouldnt care personaly as long as I got megaman in a SSB style fighting game. but It would be nice to have him in both.(when I say "him" I mean a form of megaman in general(outside of star force))yeah i read about that scamble battle stuff a couple days ago. IF they actually are doing it, and it is a multiverse Mega Man fighting game then I fear for mm's chances. thats not to say it would be impossible for him to still be in brawl, but it would certainly lower them.
personally i hope they still scrapped the idea and have already allowed mm in brawl. Cuz seriously, id rather play as mm in brawl against many legendary characters than mm against other mm characters.
X is the most bad***, I realy hope it isnt a MvC fighting style, or a arcade fighting style. I would prefere it being more of a SSB fighting style since, in the megaman games(mostly) it was a style VERY similar to SSB.Lol no I was being sarcastic...
X is the most bad *** followed by classic...
Scramble's game engine would be different than that of brawls I see it being more like MvC or Street fighter
the main characters from each series, some major enemies, and 1 of the "cool" enemies from each series. maybe even a couple of joke characters.I'd say no, personally. He got full near-3D treatment in Mega Man 7, 8, Power Fighters, and Power Battle, and looked **** good as such. But then again I don't like any of the pixel-style ATs, so that may just be bias talking.
Anyway, I'm curious: if Scramble Battle turns out to be this multiverse Mega Man fighting game we're speculating it is, what kind of roster would everyone want? Obviously each of the Mega Man forms would be in, which gives us something like 8 characters as a base, but I would expect some other major characters from the series to show up too, wouldn't you? Personally, I think they'd need Proto Man and Bass from the classic saga, Zero from the X saga, and Roll from the Battle Network series for sure, but I'm not sure beyond them. Maybe Duo from the classics and Gutsman from Battle Network? I wouldn't know who might be in from Star Force, ZX, or the like either, since I never played them.
Zevox
same here, maybe they are building us up to something. The updates have been picking up more as of late, so I wouldn't be surprised if we got a character of some sort this week.
Let's just hope it's our favorite blue bomber. *prays*
QFTHaha, this thread has 725 pages. I think it's clear who the final third-party character should be.
this roster here works for me. the more the merrier!Originally it did have Roll.EXE and even Roll Casket, but I thought one Roll was enough. Now I feel lousy for excluding them All right then, THIS was my original roster for Scramble Battle:

The final boss of the first Megaman Legends.
there are so many robot masters, it would be hard to pick the right ones to go as well. I can personaly go without robot masters.I think you should add more Robot Masters to your rosters.
megaman hands down, Ryu has his own fighting game series, he should stick to it. sure ryu would work for brawl, but I think megaman could take advantage of this chance alot more effectively. I mean, it would just have more impact to have megaman in the game, as it isnt as ground breaking for ryu since all it is is a transition to another fighting game.sorry to say, but i am having a lot of trouble between megaman and Ryu

Mega Man in Brawl is a MUST. I joined this forum just to see if he is a popular choice among other players. Looks like he is.Since I haven't seen one made, I've made this one. The Official Megaman in Brawl topic.
Do you support Megaman? Are you against it?
What version of Megaman would you like? Original? X? .EXE? Maybe even the new XZ?
If megaman is in, would you want to see a partner? Protoman? Bass? Zero? Axel?
What if Zero DOES get in. Which would you prefer? Original or the MMZ style?
What about attacks and the super move? What ideas do you have?
Come! Help support the power that is Megaman!
Smash brothers mixes pikachu with Marth. I don't think my suggestion is unreasonable or out of the question. How would X's up b be Rush Spring? You're mixing X and Mega Man and it confuses me...
Well if I remember correctly MM has also been in his fair share of fighting games (at least 3-4).I disagree. Simply the fact that Ryu is the staple of the Street Fighter franchise; he has already been in a great deal of fighting games already. I would prefer to see non-fighting game characters jump into this genre, simply because it's a chance to see all of their trademark moves and techniques in action outside of their original genre.
Rush is also dead by the time X is alive, and X is NOT Megaman.Smash brothers mixes pikachu with Marth. I don't think my suggestion is unreasonable or out of the question.
Yes it's X and yes, rush is a different series, but it's still part of the Mega Man universe.
However, Megaman has so much more he can contribute in terms of moves. Ryu has what, Hadouken (Fireball), Shoryuken (jumping uppercut), and Shun pu Kyaku (Spining kick)? Why, he'd be clone of Mario! D: He's already lost that battle.sorry to say, but i am having a lot of trouble between megaman and Ryu

Awesome, at least I'm not the only one. Also, thanks for the welcome.Welcome to the board, Lukeman3000!
I also highly support the Flash Stopper for Mega Man's Final Smash. But I think we are in the minority here.
Edit: But Rush is not forgotten. He should become an Assist Trophy and...should combine with the summoner! Just imagine the Rush Suit on Ganondorf, Ridley or Kirby. *drooools*
The point is though, he wants those MEGAMAN moves, on X and not MegamanYeah, as Storm Eagle says:
Flash Stopper FS = Minority
Rush Adaptor or Hyper Megaman FS = Majority
This is because Flash Stopper would either be incrediblely broken, being able to rack up damage and KO helpless opponents, or incrediblely lame and boring racking up damage on helpless opponents without actually KOing them.
Most of us would prefer a playable super form. Myself and many others like the idea of Rush Adaptor because it grants Megaman flying abilities and boosts his stats a bit, while at the same time it allows a skilled enough player to fend off Megaman, kind of like Super Sonic or Giga Bowser. Well, that's my reason at least. Then there are those who want Hyper Megaman to blast everything in sight.
But welcome Lukeman, nonetheless.
rush+X doesnt work, X would get either his helmet, the uppercut, or something else that is part of X, not classic. and final smashes for X...the time stopping thing could work, but due to the clock item(which I think freezes one opponent) and the fact that he could use armors, the riding bots, and other things, I think that there are better options.Mega Man in Brawl is a MUST. I joined this forum just to see if he is a popular choice among other players. Looks like he is.
I grew up on Mega Man, so obviously I am more biased towards the older renditions of the blue bomber. The "X" version of Mega Man is most appropriate for Brawl for several reasons.
First, his character design is similar "in nature" to other Brawl characters. He just fits with Brawl, graphically speaking.
Second, X has an infinite number of attack possibilities. Obviously, taking advantage of the numerous powers that X has gained from all of the reploids he has slain would be the first implementation. There are so many different attack possibilities to choose from, it boggles the mind.
His Up+b could be rush spring, or he could simply jet up and bash objects and characters with his solid helment (from helmet upgrade on the Storm Eagle level on Mega Man X).
His Final Smash could be Flash Man's freeze attack, where EVERYONE on the stage freezes and Mega Man is free to attack them. That would be SO SICK if it made the nostalgic "CHING" noise followed by the oldschool sparkles all over the screen while everything was frozen in time.
That would be sick.
X and classic are both "megaman" but not the same "megaman" it shouldnt be that hard to get, but I can at least agree with you that he shouldnt get rush in his move set.Rush is also dead by the time X is alive, and X is NOT Megaman.
Anyway Megaman > X...
But that aside...Megaman should have his moves, and X should stick to his own
0.0 rush suit on ganondwarf? I would rather rush fly around shooting people or something... but if they can make it wokr sounds like a awsome idea.Welcome to the board, Lukeman3000!

Agreed. The point is though, he wants those MEGAMAN moves, on X and not Megaman
The X saga occurs something like 100+ years after the classic series. All of the classic characters are dead by that point, though how each meets his end is unexplained. The only character still alive from that era IIRC is Zero, who was Doctor Wiley's final major project.Question, when and how does rush die? I don't remember that happening in any of the games...
thats opinion based, but you are right, down Bs dont have to be a defensive move, but, based on past expieriances, it seems to be the most likely case. also the fact that in the metaknight update he said that most down Bs would be defensive, so the odds are in favor of the leaf/skull shield if he is the classic version.Down b's don't have to be defensive. Mega Man has to have the Rock Ball. It's the best power-up ever.
Thanks man.Yeah, as Storm Eagle says:

Yes, the tongue. He could also do his Buster Salute (that's what I call it anyway).U mean the one were he sticks out his toungue? >.>...
Idk maybe something like pointing the buster at oponents and says something like: "Bring it" anything better than "We musnt figth, were not enemies!" or somethinglike that from MM8
they might make it like that, just to burn capcom for the mistake that they made there. to say"no more mistakes with megaman, no more star force, only high quality voice acting and megaman classic, X, and legends titles!" no offence at classic, just the "acting?" there.U mean the one were he sticks out his toungue? >.>...
