This thread has seems to have gone in an awfully bizarre direction; I know the whole furry fetish thing is an issue related to this particular character... it just seems like... its getting a little sidetracked. Yes its an issue, but is it as big of a deal as some seem to be making it? lets face it, how many other female video game characters are scantily clad or in tight clothing? A-lot, a whole F***ing lot and you know it. Krystal just happens to be an anthropomorphic vixen; a different flavor of an old classic. nothing more.

MMMM... I like this flavor... a WHHOOOLLLLEEEE lot...

Both looking forward.. and dreading the days that follow.. for better or for worst.. for all of us.. This is actually one of the only games I have seen that... the characters are such a big deal.. What would have happened if this game was made from scratch characters.. The entire game is made the same way.. just with stages, music, items, and characters that were completely made up.. would it be as great as it is today?...

How is Krystal being a furry an issue? Fox is a furry, and he's been in both games. It clearly won't affect her chances of being in Brawl.

(Unless I've just totally missed something in this discussion.)

Well first of all Fox may be furry, but hes the actual star of the series. Krystal is a side character and such.. so it goes against her quite a bit.

Krystal is still win though.

Her being a side character affects her chances. Her being a furry does not.

Did I say that?.. Hmm.... Yes her being a side character affects it.. Not her being furry.. It works with her since they are going for a bigger audience.. Furry characters would... could... probably make it sell better.. I'll definitely be buying this game.

there's nothing wrong with the furries, male or female, but it's the reactions of over protective parents (as the parent's don't want their children looking at porn, but they overreact after seeing the slightly seductive female and comparing it to a child's cartoon, thus making it horrible to them), and the thoughts about the female furries of older people, enhancing the parent's thoughts.

Haha..... makes me think of the newer Pokemon series I was like "Dayum that is a short skirt.... Shes only TEN?! (Or was it eleven?) wtf?"

Whats with the animators making yough children have such suggestive clothing..

I agree with the ratings of the games and the content that some parents may find offensive.. I don't think its a big issue.. Yet I am going to worry about.. pretty greatly.

its not, and it shouldn't be. Krystal deserves to be in Brawl for being a unique character with a great potential, that is the standard to judge any character.

yes, I think she's attractive, so do a bunch of others, but, that cannot be the only reason why she should be in the game, not when there are so many betters ones.

I agree, but even if it shouldn't be a problem, it most definately will be.

I guess I could throw in an Amen!
I don't have anything to say about Krystal and I don't want to make things one liners as a lot of my posts have been like those.

There's nothing wrong with furry characters. I just can't stand furry fetishes.

...everyone will what?

By the way, what does everyone find so wrong about the site? Aren't there fan sites for Sonic and Geno and such, too? From what I saw, it doesn't even allow mature stuff.

I think the reason people get panicky about characters like Krystal is that her body is human. I mean, furries like DK, Diddy, Dixie, and Pikachu (if you can call him a furry) much more closely resemble animals. And, most importantly, Krystal has a sexy woman's body. Fox and Falco are just kinda average, and their clothing is hardly revealing or suggestive. Take Fox's kinda loose fitting flight suit versus Krystal's painted on suit or glorified bikini look.
And on a different note, anybody ever notice how a lot of more kid friendly furries have no genetalia? Take the kongs for instance. That kinda settles the issue there, don't you think?

Krystal 4 Brawl

dudeee...everyone loves krystal so nintendo is most likely gonna add her imo.

look at her pimpcannon yo. :pimp:

like she is hot.

the possibilities of weapons and constumes r endless! that staff is pimp!

here's my ideas for her moves:
B: pimpcannon. u can like charge it. or use it as a gattling gun.
Up + B: Firefox
Down+ B: sweet reflector (best for infinite shines)
Forward + B: Krystal Illusion (its gonna be uber shiny as she gracefully swifts across)
Taunt: she's gonna be like "OOHHh did i WINN????" like peach. only more annoying.
purple fits her too.
umm...yea what do u guys think?
**EDIT**
New Pictures
**EDIT**
Dude, r u in luv with Krystal or something? Sure, shes cute, but shes a frickin fox!
And I believe that Krystal should use her staff in Brawl. wat do yall think?
lets debate that awhile. the name is Kakashi-dono

I feel a black hole of logic starting to open . . .Quick! CLOSE IT!!!!

So . . .whatever happened to Krystal's home planet, anyway? Cerinia? I know that Andross had something to do with its destruction, but I don't know what happened otherwise.

Krystal proves how much Slippy sucks. She came from some crappy dino-ethiopia with no technology and yet she becomes a better pilot than Slippy. Slippy sucks.

DEFINITELY
She's bound to appear, i'd be very shocked if she isn't.
But the furryhaters sha'nt be happy if she does

I too think she should have her Adventures appearance, with the staff.
I really should rebuy that game actually.
She's my favourite character.

*snicker* true enough, Slippy sucks. It's probably just because his hands are slippery from frog slime.

Note: About the whole "furry" issue only applying to Krystal. I think if it's confusing to you then you probably don't actually understand what the term means. It's not referring to them having fur. It's most commonly a term referring to people who get turned on by these humanoid animals. So, the reason Donkey Kong and such aren't part of the issue is because they aren't sexy nor were they ever meant to be sexy. Now, Krystal on the other hand, is CLEARLY meant to be hot. Which, to some, seems like bestiality. Or interspecies erotica, whatever you want to call it.

B moveset time!
I'm sure some of these were stated, but what the hey.
B^, Rocket Staff: Taken from SF Adventures. A chargeable recovery/damage move. Charging increases launch speed and damage. Direction can be altered a bit by moving the control stick during charge-up. Hitting an enemy knocks them in the direction that Krystal is going, and hits them pretty hard fully charged, definitely a KO moved against those stupid enough to be hit by something that takes several seconds to charge.

B, Staff Blaster: This can be used to do two projectiles. Tapping it will unleash the quick, weak fire blast from SF Adventures. These have the slightest of homing ability, and are really pretty fast. Does no knockback unless the enemy is already damaged quite a bit, then it stuns momentarily. Medium range, then disappears.
If you hold down the button instead of tapping, she will spray icey mist from the staff instead. This only sprays for a bit (think iceclimber blizzard), but you can direct it up and down with the control stick. And, of course, has a chance of freezing enemies.

B> Vulpine Vice: She jumps forward with the staff spinning in front of her for just a short distance. Anyone who gets hit will be carried with her (can be multiple enemies) and be hit for lots of small damage from the spinning staff. At the end of the journey, enemies will be briefly stunned, so she can give one more attack of her choice afterwards (... as long as it isn't another Vulpine Vice). Helpful for horizontal recovery and defending against edge guarders.

Bv, Ground Quake: Another charging move. If she's on the ground, no charge will hurt those on the ground for medium damage and low knockback upwards. Fully charged, after 1.3 seconds or so, will increase the radius, damage, and knockback greatly, being a KO move for those of over 160% or so. In the air, charging will stop all movement (gravity included). Then, upon finishing charging, she will shoot downwards with a speed depending on how much it was charged. A very good meteor attack, but the downward drop cannot be stopped until she hits ground, so spiking would have to be at the very edge so she'd land but the enemy wouldn't, or just be a kamekazi strike.

nice moveset, i like it. I'm actually more interested in what her regular smashes and combos would look like. Being that she has a staff, it would be fun just simply to smack people with it.

I hope she does have some nice-looking combos (think Kilik from Soul Calibur) since thre is no satisfaction quite like wailing on your opponent, shoalin style...

well, i've never done a moveset for someone else's thread, so i guess to show my support, i will at least post a b moveset for Krystal

B-Ice Blast:Similar to the Ice Climbers, but only shoots in one direction. However, the hitbox is bigger and deals more damage.
B>-Fire Shot:Krystal fires one Fireball out of her staff, dealing moderate damage. Sort of a faster version of Luigi's Fireball.
B^-Rocket Boost:Krystal pulls out her staff, and she boosts her self upwards. Can be controlled like Fox's Firefox.
Bv-Ground Quake-There are two versions, charged and uncharged. Uncharged she quickly jumps and quickly comes back down, hitting all within the blast radius, but dealing moderate damage. Charged, it's laggy, cause she's charging duh, but deals heavy damage to opponents

yeah i know it's been done numerous times, but i honestly think this will be her special moveset

krystal for brawl

Hopefully her Rocket Boost has more priority so it can't be cancelled. Since that move would typically be a clone move of the other two from the series. I think her ^B should be like Link's one.. But instead of her spinning, she just spins the staff above her head like a helicopter and gets propeled upward.
