Peace. Don't start any arguments now. I don't want my Geno picture that I spent so much time on to get lost within more senseless fighting.
So, yeah, I FINALLY made a good Geno pic. I know it's almost exactly like another Geno pic we've seen, but I didn't realize that until I was done drawing it and it looked so good that I didn't want to change it. Anyway, here you go:

I'm sorry if the design and shading is a little too sloppy. I really fail at shading. If you like it, feel free to make a signature with it.

Yes I realize it's from GameFaqs but I find it for the most part believable... (Knuckles makes me extremely skeptical though), but this is the Geno thread so I'll center in on that section.
Geno, according to this rumor is in, but along with Cecil. You know, that isn't too hard to believe, surely Square-Enix would accept to put Geno in, but at the expense of putting in a character more important to them, a Final Fantasy characer. By the by, Yoko Shimomura also did the music for FFIV, Cecil's music, as well as Geno's "Forest Maze" music.
I'm skeptical but it gives us something to think about, at least.

I was going to post something nasty, until my better judgment convinced me otherwise. I'm too tired to fling insults right now.
I know message boards such as this one have rules, and that my thread was in violation of those rules. It just bugs me that ...certain posters have been allowed to flame me, which is ALSO against the rules, but have received no punishment.
I PM'd the mod to get a better explanation. Hopefully that'll clear some things up.
Again, forgive me if I came off as a jerk.

)Nin10dough has been pretty much ***** and disproven in a few hours by gFaqs. There are so many flaws in his ''prophecy'', including Knuckles, that it is obviously false.
It's just another wannabe prophet who wants attention.

What'd she do the DS version? Every FF before 11's music was done by Uematsu.

Why is Cecil so hard to believe?
He reps old school final fantasy very well, and would be a lovely addition to the roster.
Final Fantasy IV was also released only for the Super Nintendo, before being remade and distributed to other systems.
Jajamaru - not that hard to believe either. Sakurai isn't going to add all characters we know of, Jajamaru is one most of us would not even know. Roy and Marth for example - hardly ANYONE knew them, or the Ice Climbers before their addition.
Ridley, now this one is a half and half for me. I mean Ridley got high on the polls, I realize his size is NOT an issue, but the only thing I can't see is his SSE. Ridley wouldn't partner up and help someone else out, from the Metroid games I've played, he'd have a solo SSE as the only possible route. I can see him as a boss or AT though, so saying he has no appearance, leaves me skeptical also.
Well if two Square-Enix characters got in Cecil, and Geno, Capcom has no representation, then why couldn't Sega have two reps considering their extremely close relation with Nintendo now?

She didn't compose those. She arranged them for SMRPG. The FF opening theme, FFIV boss music, and the FF victory theme were all composed by Uematsu. The opening theme and the victory theme have been in FF since the original game.
Also, I could also say the FFV and FFVI were only for the Super Nintendo before being remade and redistributed to other systems. Though, if they were to choose a character, Cecil probably would be the best choice as far as being Nintendo related is concerned.

Yoko could simply be arranging the pieces for the game; she could set up a nice remix of the pieces for Brawl from FFIV and SMRPG. (Jazz arrangement or the likes I suppose? Something of the sort.)
And yes, I agree, Cecil is the most likely FF candidate at this point. Makes sense that if Geno got in, Square-Enix would want some sort of other thing which better represents them, and who better to do it than a FF character.

Also, about Jajamaru, how popular is he in Japan? Marth is super popular in Japan and Roy was shoved down Sakurai's throat. I don't really count them as being wtf as much as Ice Climbers, but who knows; maybe Sakurai loves the Jajamaru-kun games like he loves Ice Climber.

If by flawless you mean it has an ATB system you couldn't see, uncustomizable parties, and a bland method of learning spells, then ok.
Except that it introduced the ATB.
The 'bland method' wasn't a nuisance.
The uncostumisable party gave the game a character-driven story, which was a first for the series.

Well sorry for not knowing many FF stuff I am not a big video game guy anyways. The only video games I ever play are Wrestling, Guitar Hero and Smash Bros. Nothing else. I have an life too. The only reason I know Mario RPG was because I loved the game when I was a kid.
You know, before I started getting back into the game again, I always thought that Geno would be a pretty cool AT. He wouldn't be forgoten, no, but than I realized that he deserves more than that. He was my favourite character in the game when I was a child and I was him every time. I never finished the game until I downloaded the ROM.
I played it, than realized how important he was to the game and when I finished the ROM the first thing that came to my mind was 'Geno for Brawl.' and since that moment when I saw Geno's star rising back up into the heavens, I started supporting him.

I have nothing against Geno, but personally I don't see what makes him worthy of being in Brawl. All I've seen so far is that he's popular. Popularity alone can't get a character playable. So far, all of the old, yet still popular characters are only assist trophies.
