I think Geno has enough support to warrant his own thread: mine. :p

But seriously, this isn't Raiden or Toad or someone lame, this is GENO!!!

*EDIT* Besides, if Oro locks this, I'll just unlock it. :p
yea toad i agree doesnt deserve as much repsect as geno although toad has been like a guardian geno is way more useful people just basically want toad because he genrally would stand out but i doubt he would stand out next to pichu or jiggly.

Where did Bowser come from? I thought we were talking about Mario. I forgot to mention I got the Attack scarf, but only made it to 31 so I didn't get the supersuit either. Also Peach's frying pan was on an equal level to the Lazy shell.
Ultimate weapons:
GENO: Star Gun
BOWSER: Drill Claw
MALLOW: Sonic Cymbals
PEACH: Frying Pan
MARIO: Lazy Shell
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's right I gave you that the Lazy Shell is Mario's best because it's been a long time so I'm probably just having a senior moment.
This is all correct. I actually still have SMRPG so I should know. Then again, I also check out a site called SMPRG Legacy which is a really cool site dedicated to all Mario RPG's but mainly SMRPG. They are sending letters and stuff to Nintendo to get a remake for SMRPG. Nintendo replied, practically saying they were not going to make one but the people on that site are not giving up. They are also trying to get Geno and Mallow into Brawl and celebrating the 10 year anniversity of SMRPG. It is a pretty cool site.

For the record, I believe you got the Seed from defeating Smilax, and the Fertilizer was given to you by the Shyguy in Nimbus Land. Then you go to Rosetown and you guys know the rest. Also, the Lazy Shell Armor is the best if you use it right (put it on Peach, and make sure she has the infinite rock candy item you get in the Casino). That way, you pretty much can't die, and you unleash a lot of damage on everything every turn. Then, when you feel the need, you just resurrect your other party members and lay a smackdown.

On topic, I'd rather have Mallow *ducks*, but I'll take either if we can get them.

Yes, that is each character's ultimate weapon, but the Lazy Shell and Frying Pan (I just found that out) are much more powerful than the others because of the secret way you have to get them (you have to go back to Moleville near the end of the game and buy the "Metal Plate" from the prospector, which turns out to be the Frying Pan). Here's a list of the attack powers of the weapons (AP = Attack Power):

Star Gun - 57 AP
Drill Claw - 40 AP
Sonic Cymbals - 70 AP
Frying Pan - 90 AP
Lazy Shell - 90 AP

Does anyone have any good strategies for defeating Culex? All my characters are at lv 30 and I still can't beat him. The ******* gets like 2 turns on top of cheating with extra turns for those crystals to attack. Do you even get anything worth while for beating him?

To Uncle Kenny. Culex info.

I think you get the Quartz charm and get about 250 Exp for beating him. Destroy the crystals first that's how I beat him. After 2 are down destroy the Earth Crystal, but attck Culex with Mario's lazy shell while the others attack the Earth Cryastal with physical attacks.
To destroy two of the crystals I recommend these attacks. Ultra Jump, Geno Flash, Snowy,
Bowser Crush and Psych Bomb. Hope that helps, but remember it's been awhile since I last played it, but it won't hurt to give it a shot.

Check up top. The site I mentioned has everything you need to know about getting a remake. They are trying hard to pursue Nintendo and Square-Enix simaltaneously into getting a remake but are not succedding too well.

P.S. What does the Quartz Charm do? And Geno for Brawl.

Sorry I forget ask McFox he might know. I not even sure I'm right about it I would double check with someone else to be sure.McFox is probably your best bet he seems to remember it pretty well.

The only thing is, I never beat Culex either. I was too young at the time, it was too difficult for me. And I haven't played it in a while, even though I own the game now.

And yes, Nintendo owns the game. They can put it on the Virtual Console if they want to.

They don't own specific characters and etc. anymore, but the game is still theirs. For instance, they could put Banjo-Kazooie on the Virtual Console if they wanted to, because even though Rare owns Banjo now, it's Nintendo's game. They licensed it, and they can do with it what they want. They couldn't make a sequel to it, but they own the games that they license.

At least, that's my understanding of it.

I think I get it now. Oh and McFox, you ought to check out that link to SMRPG Legacy I posted on page 65. Maybe put it on the front page for those who don't know much about this game. But hey your call, just making suggestions.

If you are looking for cheapness, don't bother. The one I got was used and costed $50. To get a mint condition one would cost from $100-300. Outrageous but true.

Im not that cheap. Im going to buy the Wii and if it wasnt too expensive on the virtual counsle I will get it for that. I sadly dont have any system earlier then the N64. Thats why I like the VC idea.

I think the publisher loses the rights over a game after a while. So Nintendo can't release BK again without the permission of Rare. And yes, that applies to DKC games too, notice the latest ones for GBA have the Rare logo even when they aren't working for Nintendo?.

That's for a physical copy, which is not what the Virtual Console is. The Virtaul Console just lets you download games, and Iwata has said that SNES games will most likely be between 3 and 5$. And I've seen the Legacy page before.

Does Geno really have a theme? Most people call the Forest Maze "Geno's Theme," but it's really just the Forest Maze music.

Forest Maze would work as his theme. Besides, hearing a full orchestrated version of it would bring tears to my eyes.

And I say a HAHA! to all you who have to buy/download SMRPG. I've had my copy for almost 10 years now, and it still works as well as ever.

I figured his theme would be that music that plays when he chooses which doll to poccess. Although the Forest Maze one is better. In the middle of the thread we all agreed that the Forest Maze should be his stage and Bowyer in the background shooting buttons that will disable the button he hits (A,B,X). It would be one cool interactive stage.

That does sound like a cool stage. Now would the x take out the y also because they do the same thing?

I think the idea is to remove the jump entirely. Now THAT would be interesting. :p
It would be pretty funny if you knock your opponent off and as they go to jump it switches and you cant jump to recover. That would never get old.

You could still jump with the control stick and how about making a tournament legal stage we have enough banned stages.

Sorry about that whole Virtua console thing I was thinking of the Virtua Boy which is an entirely different system.

Agreed entirely with all three ideas/points. I really would like Geno's stage to be tourny legal though. I do like the idea though of eliminating the jump, or all A or B attacks.
