ugh Bowser Jr. is ridiculous, he's so overrated even more than Geno.....because Bowser Jr. is seriously just a rip off (sorry to his fans) and he replaced not one or two but SEVEN unique characters >:( and yes he's important and everything but he just doesn't represent anything different he's just another "canon" villain.....Geno at least is a hero of a Mario section that hasn't been fully represented.

All you're doing is saying that he sucks. Comparing him to Ashley is just wrong. Who do you support? I feel like bashing one of those right now.

geno may have been around longer in terms of years but bowser jr. does have more gaming experience: Main villian of mario sunshine, major villian of mario galaxy, been in many mario party games as well as mario sports games (i know most people say they arent qualified but they are GAMES none the less)

now lets see Geno's games: Super Mario RPG (i havent played but have heard its very good and i believe yall) and a cameo appearence in mario and luigi superstar saga. I think that 2 conon games and about 5 sports/party games outweighs an popular (but old) game and a minor cameo apperence.

I didn't compare him to Ashley. That would be uncalled for, frankly. I compared the people in this THREAD to the people in the Ashley thread.

Yes, but I think his popularity right now is just a fad because of his cuteness, I wanna see what they do with him more before he's DESERVING...

I don't feel he will last that long

Let me rephrase myself: Are YOU an idiot? Sakurai said about 3. For those among us who don't know what he means by about, it's around. For all we know, he could have 5.

Why would they want less? The more, the more money they make. They had access to more time as well. Oh, and why doesn't Megaman have a massive club like Geno then, if they truly have a bigger fanbase as you claim.

honestly i didnt know who or what geno was untill i came to these boards. But bowser jr. i had seen/played as in games before. I really dont think that geno is widly known outside of these boards, and that all the geno fans may be over-exagerating his popularity

ps: i like the paper mario idea if any of yall have played all the games youd probably agree with me, but this isnt the paper mario thread so ill stop there

And having a club full of idiotic fanboys is hardly a reason for a character to be in Brawl. The Ridley club is a fine example of this.

In the 5 journal entries that were in Sakurai's poll, all of the entries told Sakurai that SMRPG is a memorable game because it was fun to play and they all remember Geno because he was the central character to the plot, the catalyst, Mario was just there at the right time.

The entries are in broken english because they are all from Japan, would you like to read them?

Also Geno having a fanbase for about 11-12 years is impressive for a obscure character also I edited my above post for the arguement.

what im an idiot just because im not old enough to have played the game? By the way when did it come out? and when will it be on the vc? i would really like to try it out to see what all this hub-ub about geno is all about, and just cause i dont share you opinion doesnt give you the right to call me stupid.

Paper Mario has a fine chance, and you of all vatos should know that. He's a twisted version of Mario. He's Mario in another dimension, he continued on from the Super Mario Brothers 1 game.

That's why there's no Waluigi, or Wario appearences. That's why everything;s paper. There's no clone possibility, and them being the same character is simply absurd.

Paper MArio is MArio theres no getting around that hell I even have a timeline of all the mario games if u want...

You're a kid. It's quite obvious. It only came out 1995, so you must of at least heard of it.

How would I know when it goes on VC? Geno's game was a major hit. Everyone who played it loved it. The sales were skyrocketing.

He only started having an actual "fanbase" when people wanted him in Smash. Until then, he was only a remembered character from 2 mediocre games.

Having clones of the same characters in Brawl just ruins it. Instead of characters like WW Link and Paper Mario, we could have more variety and better characters.
