I need major help to get my olimar back into shape >_< that match im showing i was lacking use of the rest of his moves and couldn't react fast. but i still won that set. help!

well my judgement on pivot grab range was sloppy and i knew it wouldn't reach zss in time. keep in mind i recently got back into olimar after a year long hiatus and i sitll know most things. but i would say pressure got the best of me and the stupid buffer window .

but we'll see next tournament how i do with oli. then i can take the title of best oli in FL -_-;

eh, ZSS isn't really a character that you can pivot grab too much, imo. I saw him go for it a couple times, they just didn't work.

lol, I tried MK once against George's Kirby (in the brackets) because he 2-1ed me in pools when I used Oli, but it didn't work. <_< I switched back to Oli the next two matches with the super campy mindset and two stocked him twice. George also posted the results page.

That's the only time I used him in brackets though.

Lol I don't even post my tournament results anymore. I've been playing kinda average lately actually, I dropped off a little bit after I got onto So Cal Power Rankings

Got 5th outta 14 this past weekend (lost to DEHF and DSF lol), 7th outta 86 the weekend before (Beat the 2nd best Nor Cal player in winners bracket but lost to him in losers, they switched the bracket really late in losers because apparently 2 Chula Vista players were playing each other which left me bracket ******, grrr) and I think I got ***** the weekend before that haha. I'm still plagued by inconsistency, but it's a higher level of play inconsistency if that makes any sense.

Larry ***** yesterday.

Right before finals, he was playing friendlies against a line of people (me, Typh, Bone, a few others) and 3 stocked us all almost every time. I've never felt more out of my element playing that guy, I couldn't do a single thing I wanted to do. It's ridiculous. He went on to win the tournament.

I got 5th outta 39. Lost to Mike and Havok, both went to the 3rd game and they were pretty close sets. Next time, you two!

He plays way differently. I went about 50-50 oli-falcon, btw.

Olimar is worse in that there is way more hitstun so you get gimped a million times easier. He's better in that his crappy matchups are because of like huge priority (like peach) so all you can do in normal brawl is like nair or utilt or something. That doesn't really accomplish anything in vbrawl, but in b+ you can combo out of it. He's pretty killer, not gonna lie. Falcon's good too. The only oli b+ videos I have are here, winner's finals:
