i came on smashboards to find nothing but this.........

i dont feel the regional skill has anything to do with "the teacher" imo, SFL just has the largest concentration of top player smarts, so as ppl get to play more ppl with top player smarts, then tend to place better

look at me for example at me....... i am NOT amazing at this game....... yet i live with a top player, who uses the best characters in this game, we used to play ALL THE TIME, and i probably have more top mk experience than most unrankeds who dont travel oos

and yet i STILL couldnt even beat ksizzle back in June, and he wasnt even good vs diddy, seibik ***** me, and i almost never take games off my brothers mk, and i know how he plays

i care about this game, i even play wifi to get mu experience, but yet i still average 9th place at tourneys..... there are people ive NEVER beaten in tourney (CO18 for example, ive lost to him like 8 times) the top players are clearly top players, because theyre JUST BETTER THAN WE ARE, and i accept that

its not like there world doesnt have ppl who arent capable of what others are, how many albert einsteins ro steven hawkings does the world have?




and sorry seibrik, but lade does NOT care about brawl anywhere NEARLY as much as we do, that just sucks doesnt it? oh well

he and i rarely even play anymore

All I'm gonna say is the good teachers I know are the ones I said before. Atleast for SFL.

First of all, if you see here i never said i ASSUMED through getting poorer than sfl placings that it must be because of bad training.

I simply said they don't get good training, cause well, i hung out with them all weekend and that's all they complained about.

i dont know why tampa would be johning that, especially when they spend more time in team battle....... why am i seeing teams of ganon vs ike, and other chars ppl dont use the day before a tourney?

i HATE playing teams for the most part, since i like dont even have an official partner , so im always trying to play singles with everyone

i use every character my brother does, i am the 2nd most consistent placer from tampa, and have given tampa the training whenever my brother doesnt

next, look at the characters many of the people in tampa use.... of the tampa people who regularly attend tournys, my bro and i are the only ones who use top characters, which are obviously the best to use if you want to actually place

Welp, the sentiment of some of us is that we do not learn anything from being destroyed by Lade. Honestly, sometimes it can be demoralizing when say "a player like myself puts so much effort into a character and gets beat into submission regardless of how talented I am" but then I thought about it and came to the conclusion that that is a part of his style of teaching. It's basically a "tough love" or "baptism by fire" approach. It's up to us to keep getting better if we want it because, let's face it, FL is full of very talented players that won't show us mercy or what we're doing wrong in tourney until maybe afterward. It's the style that has shaped Lade through and through and he really doesn't owe anything to us (except we drive him everywhere lol ) so I can comprehend this style. If we want to learn then we get up and keep trying and eventually he'll critique ya when he notices big improvement. It isn't like Seibrik, who will break it down and show/tell ya everything piece by piece; although, I know Lade can do that if he wanted to.

Like I said, just a difference in teaching and some of us have noticed from experience with the both of them.
