I don't see how its whack. All you have to do is specify before your MM if you want this to count for the PR or not. If either player says no, then it doesnt, and you continue your MM (or cancel out if you want it to be PR). This isn't yugioh a ***** doesn't gotta rise up and yell I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL and ****. Yall makin a big deal outta nothin.

I'm not sure, but I believe the money both players put down in the PR Match has to be equal to to the singles entry for the tournament it's taking place at.

Again not sure, I may have read that that in another region's PR thread by accident lol. That seems like a good idea instead of having someone randomly throwing in three bucks and challenging.(not saying that's what you did CO)

Either way, you have lost to people I haven't, such as polt and whoever else you lost to at HS Leviticus. The only person I have a losing record to is Justin, and I haven't played him since that one tournament >_>
well thats one thing, i have a winning record vs him

but in any case

i wasn't even aware we were counting Polt as an in-stater since he can't be on our PR.

as such, we can only use polt comparatively. For example, this season did you beat polt to be able to hold that over my head?

In fact, no one can even say that, since he won that tourny (asside from halz in pools maybe?...) so that would hardly count against me in terms of me vs you

The only thing i really am lacking is the fact that i have a losing record to you, which i will be working on until the period ends.

So let's say a random player not on the PR (me for example) wanted to get on the PR by doing a PR money match. Why would anyone already on the PR want to accept that challenge?

If the person on the PR wins then they don't gain anything (except a few bucks), but if they lose then they possibly drop sum on the next PR and lose $. Why would anyone on the PR accept a PR MM from a random player? Imo they'd rather just do a normal MM than one where they'd risk PR ranking

(Just tryin to figure this PR thing out)

... Because they get money?
PR MMs are SUPPOSED to be as much as the entry fee of the tournament, which makes that MM "worth the same as entering the tournament itself."

your a random, what person on the PR WOULDNT accept a free MM lol

the reason they got on the PR was for being known to be consistant and only lose to other people on the PR player skill level.

dont think they'd be worried

not saying they're right in not being worried, but bein on the PR also happens to bring an air of cockiness i don't think will get in the way of ur PR match

He will get the same amount of money if its not a PR match, but theres more to lose if its a pr match.

Theres no reason for a PR player to do it if he wants to keep his spot.

It should be all MM's count or none. Thats how the other regions do it. If its all, then everyone will try alot harder in their MM's bc theres a chance it'll count against them.

I think the minimum for it to count should be like $3 so people who don't have alot of money can still try for it. Below $3 is too low though and wouldn't be taken as seriously.

Definitely don't think all MM's should count. You would see a decrease in the amount of MM's for sure. And then how will i do Kirby MM's? My kirby is raw sonnnn

what the "appropriate amount" is is completely subjective to each person tho.

For example, someone in a poor position might say 3 is too much, while someone in a rich position might think 3 is too little to even take seriously.

We COULD potentially make a rule to make all mm's count, UNLESS otherwise agreed upon: IE the kirby mm's for afro's sake.

MM should be a standard of 3 and up to be taken seriously as long as the PR member agrees if you are so high and mighty why are worried about the MM that much if you are as good as you "rank" says that you are you will either accept/negotiate a new price/or decline. There shouldn't be a of how much a player is willing to accept for a PR MM...just saying

The brawl timer is subjective too but we pick w.e feels right.

$3 seems low enough but not too low like $1. Most ppl won't take a $1 MM as seriously. If dollar amount doesn't matter to people then make em all count.

If people are using secondaries in MM's then yeah just say before the MM it won't count (Afro's raw kirby). Everything else should though.

the pr mm seems flawed imo. If one was already on the PR why would he accept it for being "a pr mm?" Pretty sure they'd just say no and want a regular MM or ask for higher stakes such as $10+ if it were such a "PR MM". I could only really see this playing out if someone on the PR was 100% confident that they'd beat so and so player for an easy $5.

The whole idea behind this "PR MM" sounds ******** imo.

I wrote up a whole post about why PR Matches make 100% sense, how they actually help, and why everyone should support them.

Then i realized that no one would listen anyway, so i deleted the whole thing and posted this instead.

Holy **** guys, you really don't get it.

Let's say, Dewdadash, you wanted to PR MM me. I, being the superior player ranking wise, and in my head skillwise, it is just another MM to me with a little extra pressure (And a little more money than a normal MM). Unrankeds aren't that scary to the majority of people, so it is basically free money.

Let me just ask something real quick. I think I'm right but we'll see. If I win a PR money match against Dtorr my record with him would be 1-1 instead of 0-1 right?
